About Us

A Canadian guide to the slot side of online casinos: who writes it, where the facts come from and how it is paid for.

Updated

We cover online casinos and slots for players in Canada, with one rule above the rest: every figure on a page comes from a source you can open, with the date we checked it. Casino pages look at the slot lobby - how many games, which providers, which bonus terms bite for slot players. Slot pages look at the game itself and where it is offered. When a fact is not published, the page says so instead of guessing.

What we cover

  • 300 casino brands that Canadians search for. 285 are listed and scored on their slot lobby; 15 are status pages for brands that have closed or no longer accept Canadian players. Those are never scored, ranked or suggested.
  • More than 80 slot and crash games, each with the provider's own figures - RTP and its other versions, volatility, max win, bet range, features - and a free demo where the provider lets us embed one.
  • Hubs and guides that connect the two: providers, game types such as Megaways and jackpot slots, bonus terms, and guides on how slots work, RTP and volatility.

Each casino page links to the slots from our reviews whose providers it lists, and each slot page links back to casinos that carry its provider. We say how we know: a provider on a casino's list, or a title seen in its lobby on a dated capture.

We are not a casino. We do not take bets, hold accounts or handle money, and we cannot help with an account at any casino.

Where our facts come from

We read the primary source for each fact and nothing else:

  • The operator's own pages: terms and conditions, promotion terms, payment pages, game lobbies and help pages.
  • The provider's own game sheet, game page or the in-game rules of its demo, for every slot figure.
  • Regulator registers: the AGCO and iGaming Ontario for Ontario, AGLC for Alberta, and the bodies that license offshore sites, such as the Kahnawake Gaming Commission and the Malta Gaming Authority.
  • Archived copies in the Internet Archive when a live page blocks visitors from Canada or has changed since we read it.

Each fact carries its source and the date we checked it, and every page lists its sources under References. We do not take figures from other review sites, and we do not fill gaps from memory. When two primary sources disagree, we say so on the page. Our editorial policy sets out the rules in full.

How scores work

A casino's score is the plain average of six sub-scores, each from 0 to 10: slot lobby, providers, bonus terms for slots, payouts, licence and safety, and mobile play. A slot's score is the average of gameplay, bonus features, RTP, volatility, win potential and mobile play. A page shows a score only when all six parts are in; otherwise it says "Not scored".

The sub-scores are judged from the published facts. A missing fact is never rewarded, and a brand whose operator or licence we could not confirm is told so on its page. The one exception to "published facts only" is our partner Neospin: our team tested it hands-on in October 2026, and its scores reflect that test as well as its published facts. We say so on its page.

When a slot page says we played a number of demo spins, we did, on the date given. We never describe real-money results we did not have. The full method is on how we rate casinos and how we rate slots.

Who writes the pages

  • Theo Marchand, casino lobby reviewer, writes the casino pages and the casino hubs.
  • Iris Kowalczyk, slot analyst, writes the slot pages, the game-type hubs and the guides.
  • Samuel Achebe, fact-checker, checks every figure against its source before a page goes live.

The work follows the same order on every page. First the facts are gathered from the primary sources, each with a link and a date. Then the page is written from those facts only - no figure appears in the text that is not in a source. Finally the fact-checker reads the page against the sources and sends back anything that does not match. The sub-scores are set at the writing stage and checked with the rest, so no score goes live that the fact-checker has not seen.

Casino, slot, hub and guide pages name their writer and checker, and their "What changed" log shows when each page was published and what has changed since.

How the site is paid for

We have one partner casino, Neospin. When a reader signs up there through a button on this site, we may earn a commission. The partner is labelled wherever it appears, every partner button carries the age line and "T&Cs apply", and the details are on our advertising disclosure.

The partner does not edit our pages, and other casinos are listed on their facts alone: Neospin is the only casino that pays us. Neospin is not registered in Ontario, so visitors from Ontario see no partner buttons, banners or casino offers anywhere on the site. Pages like this one carry no partner button at all, and neither do the responsible gambling, contact and privacy pages.

Gambling in Canada is for adults only: 19+, or 18+ in Alberta, Manitoba and Quebec. Slots keep a share of every dollar wagered over time; our responsible gambling page lists free help lines for every province and territory.
