Bonus Buy Slots - Casinos That Allow Feature Buys

How a feature buy works

The price is always quoted as a multiple of the base bet. On most Pragmatic Play games the standard buy is 100x, so the price moves with your stake: the higher the bet, the more the round costs and the more it can pay. What you buy is entry to the round, not a result. The spins inside it are as random as ones you trigger naturally, and many bought rounds return less than their price.

The buy also has its own RTP, set by the provider, and it is not always the same as the base game's:

• Chaos Crew: base game 96.30%, bought Free Spins 95.92%.
• Wanted Dead or a Wild: base game 96.38%; its three buys run at 96.27%, 96.33% and 96.43%.
• Big Bass Bonanza 1000: 96.51% in every mode, bought or not.

These figures come from each game's own rules or the provider's sheet, linked on the slot pages. The real-money version at your casino may run a different setting, so check the game's info screen.

Casino slots buy bonus prices, studio by studio

Prices differ far more between studios than between games of one studio. A selection from the 48 games, as each provider publishes them:

The cheapest options are not always full bonus rounds. Money Train 3's 20x option buys one spin of its feature, against 100x for the original feature and 500x for the persistent version. Pirots 2 sells five X-iter modes, from 3x to 500x, instead of a single price.

One real buy menu, in dollars

Multiples are easy to underestimate, so here is the in-game buy menu of Chaos Crew 2 as it reads at a C$2.00 bet in Hacksaw's Canadian-dollar demo:

One Super Bonus at that bet costs the same as 250 ordinary spins. In the demo, buy prices can also go past the game's normal maximum bet, so the menu can take you well beyond the stake you set out with.

The other thing the table hides is time. Two hundred and fifty base spins take a while and give you many small results along the way; a C$500 buy settles in one bonus round. Decide in advance how many buys, if any, fit your budget, and keep to that number when a round pays less than it cost.

When the buy button is missing

Providers ship different builds for different markets, and the buy is one of the things they switch on or off. Our own checks ran into this repeatedly:

• Pragmatic Play demos opened under the UK jurisdiction hide the bonus buy entirely; the standard build shows it.
• Christmas Big Bass Bonanza's rules say its buy is not offered under the UK jurisdiction.
• Amazing Link Zeus Epic 4's 50x buy may not be offered in every market or above a bet threshold.
• Pine of Plinko's 79x buy (RTP 96.94%) is listed for some markets only.
• Wolf Gold Ultimate's 80x buy is disabled while Ante Bet is on, and Gates of Olympus Super Scatter's Ante Bet switches its buy off too.

So a slot that offers a buy in our demo may not offer one at your casino, or may offer it only at some stakes. The casino list on this page is built from provider lists, which cannot tell you that. Open the game at the casino and look for the buy button before you count on it.

Reading the casino list on this page

Casinos are ranked by how many of the 48 bonus-buy slots we review come from studios on their published provider list. A casino that lists Pragmatic Play, Hacksaw Gaming and Nolimit City will cover far more of them than one that lists Games Global alone. Ties are broken by our usual ranking.

Three limits are worth knowing. A provider on the list does not prove a given title is in the lobby. A title in the lobby does not prove the buy is switched on there. And a high count says nothing about the casino's bonus terms, so check the maximum bet and game contribution rules on the casino profile before you play a buy with bonus money. Where we have seen a game in a casino's lobby, the profile says so with the date. Our partner casino is pinned first and labelled. The province pill on each card shows whether that casino's site serves your province; visitors in Ontario see the same list without any offers.
