Slot Providers - Who Makes the Games

The studios behind the slots, how many casinos name each one on their own pages, and which of their games we review.

Whether you want a Big Time Gaming casino, a lobby full of Pragmatic Play or the Mega Moolah network, the provider decides more than the graphics. It sets the RTP versions a casino can choose from, the volatility, the max win and how the bonus round works.

The eight studios above have their own page, with the casinos that list them and every game of theirs we review. Below them you will find the other names Canadians search for most - from Endorphina and Evoplay to IGT, Aristocrat and WMS - with a count of the casinos that name each one on their own pages.

How we count the casinos for each provider

Of the 285 casinos we list, 146 publish a provider list we could source - on a games page, a footer, a lobby filter or an archived copy of one. A casino counts for a studio when that list names it. We group a studio's labels together: "Microgaming", "Apricot" and Stormcraft Studios all count as Games Global, and Reel Kingdom counts as Pragmatic Play, which distributes its games.

Two limits are worth knowing. First, a studio on the list does not prove every one of its games is in the lobby; casinos pick titles. Second, a casino with no public list does not count, even if it carries the studio. That is why each casino profile shows the date and the source of its list, and why we say "check the lobby" next to every game.

The counts are a snapshot from October 2026 and move when casinos update their pages.

Other studios: Big Time Gaming, Playtech, Endorphina and more

These providers have no page of their own here yet, because we do not review their games. This is how many of the 146 casinos with a published list name each one:

So a Big Time Gaming casino is not hard to find: 28 lists name the studio, mostly offshore casinos but also five brands with an Ontario registration. Endorphina casino slots, Evoplay casino slots and Amatic casino slots turn up almost only on offshore casinos, which accept players outside Ontario without a licence from any province. Playtech casino slots appear on both kinds: 13 of its 23 casinos are offshore only, and nine hold an Ontario or Alberta registration. Each profile shows the province pill and the licence, so check where a casino is allowed to serve you before you open an account.

IGT, Aristocrat and WMS: the land-based names

IGT, Aristocrat and WMS built their names on casino-floor machines, and their online footprint in our data is much smaller.

  • IGT casino slots: 13 casinos name IGT, and 10 of them are sites for Ontario, Alberta or Quebec only - among them OLG.ca and Loto-Québec, the provincial sites, plus Ontario-registered brands such as High Flyer and Swiper.
  • Aristocrat casino slots: only Bally Bet, a site for Ontario and Alberta, names Aristocrat on its own lobby page.
  • WMS casino slots: none of the 146 lists names WMS. WMS Industries has been part of Light & Wonder (then Scientific Games) since 2013, and 13 casinos name Light & Wonder or its NYX and LNW labels. Those 13 lobbies are where to look for WMS titles.

Looking for free Aristocrat casino slots? We have no Aristocrat demo to embed, because we do not review its games. The free slots page has the demos we can open, all from the providers themselves.

Why the provider matters to a slot player

Two games can look alike and still pay back very differently, and much of that is decided by the studio:

  • RTP versions. Hacksaw Gaming publishes up to four versions per game - Wanted Dead or a Wild runs from 96.38% down to 88.42% - and the casino picks one. Pragmatic Play prints separate figures for its Ante Bet and Buy Free Spins modes.
  • Jackpot share. On the Mega Moolah network from Games Global, part of each bet feeds the progressive: Juicy Joker Mega Moolah returns 86.73% from the base game plus 5.30% from the jackpot.
  • Volatility scales. Nolimit City rates Mental "Extreme (10)", Hacksaw uses "5 / 5", Pragmatic Play "High". We keep each provider's wording.

The provider also decides whether a bonus buy exists and what it costs - 100x the bet is the usual price at Pragmatic Play, while Relax Gaming offers several tiers on Money Train 4. Our RTP versions and volatility guides put the figures for every game we review side by side.
