Coolbet Casino Slots: Closed in Ontario - What Happened
Coolbet's Ontario casino left the regulated market in 2023; here is the evidence, dated, and what it means for you.

Coolbet no longer operates for Canadian players. We keep this page so the facts and their sources stay findable. It is not scored, ranked or recommended anywhere on this site.
Coolbet once ran an Ontario casino at coolbet.ca. It is no longer part of Ontario's regulated market: it disappeared from iGaming Ontario's public directory in early 2023, and in October 2026 the coolbet.ca address forwards visitors to coolbet.com, the brand's international site.
Because the brand has no regulated Canadian casino, this page does not score or rank it, and it has no slot lobby to review. Instead it sets out what the public records show, with dates, what that means if you once played there, and where to find casinos that are regulated in your province.

Coolbet publishes no game counts or provider list we could source.

The casino publishes no withdrawal time we could source.

We could not confirm a licence from the casino's pages or a regulator register.
What the public record shows
Three pieces of evidence tell the story, each checked against a dated source:
| Date | What we found |
|---|---|
| 27 January 2023 | Coolbet is listed in iGaming Ontario's directory of regulated sites (archived copy) |
| 19 April 2023 | Coolbet is no longer in the archived copy of the same directory |
| 23 October 2026 | The current directory lists 84 sites; Coolbet is not one of them |
| 23 October 2026 | coolbet.ca forwards (redirect codes 308, then 302) to www.coolbet.com |
So the Ontario casino was withdrawn at some point between late January and mid-April 2023, and it has not returned since. iGaming Ontario's directory is the public list of operators allowed to offer online casino games to people in the province, so absence from it is the clearest signal there is.
The records do not explain why Coolbet left, and we found no closure announcement among the sources we read. We will not guess at a reason. The sources linked at the foot of this page let you check each line yourself.
If you had a coolbet.ca account
The sources we read do not say how balances or accounts from the Ontario site were handled when it closed, and coolbet.ca no longer shows its own pages because it forwards to the international site. That leaves one sensible step: contact Coolbet's support directly, in writing, and keep a copy of what you send and receive. Ask specifically about any remaining balance and how to withdraw it.
Two points are worth knowing while you do that. First, coolbet.com is not on iGaming Ontario's list, so it is not a regulated option for Ontario residents, and anything you do there falls outside the protections of Ontario's framework. Second, Ontario's centralised self-exclusion scheme covers only the province's regulated sites, so it does not reach coolbet.com either.
If a closed account is part of a wider worry about your gambling, our responsible gambling page lists Canadian support resources and the limit-setting tools to look for at any casino.
Coolbet outside Ontario, and the free spins question
For the rest of Canada the picture is less clear. coolbet.com's terms could not be read when we checked in October 2026; the page came back empty. That means we cannot confirm whether coolbet.com accepts players from Alberta, Quebec or any other province, which licence it would rely on, or what its casino lobby holds.
The same gap answers the Coolbet free spins question. With no readable terms or promotions page, there is no Coolbet free spins offer for Canadians that we could verify as of October 2026. If you see one advertised, treat it with caution: check who runs the site, which regulator licenses it, and whether your province appears in its restricted list before depositing anything.
It is also worth knowing how Canadian regulation is set up. In Ontario, a legal online casino is registered with the AGCO and has an operating agreement with iGaming Ontario. In Alberta, it is registered with AGLC and has an agreement with the Alberta iGaming Corporation, a market that opened on 13 July 2026. Elsewhere, the regulated option is the provincial lottery corporation's own site; offshore casinos are not licensed by any province.
Where Canadian players can look instead
We do not name a replacement for Coolbet, because no casino took over its Ontario customers in the records we read. What we can offer is a way to find a casino that is regulated where you live:
- Our legal online casinos page explains, province by province, which sites are regulated and how to check a licence.
- The casino list shows the slot lobbies we have checked, each with its licence and the provinces it serves.
- Players in Nova Scotia can start with our Nova Scotia page.
- How we rate casinos explains what our scores are based on.
Before you sign up anywhere, find the regulator's name and registration number in the site's footer and look it up on the regulator's own list: iGaming Ontario's directory in Ontario, the Alberta iGaming Corporation's list of registered sites in Alberta. A site that names no regulator, or one you cannot find on the list, is not regulated in your province. And remember the age rules wherever you play: 19+ in most provinces, 18+ in Alberta, Manitoba and Quebec.
Questions about Coolbet
Not as a regulated Ontario casino. Coolbet dropped out of iGaming Ontario's directory between January and April 2023 and was still absent in October 2026. coolbet.ca now forwards to coolbet.com, whose terms we could not read, so whether it accepts other provinces is unconfirmed.
The sources we read do not say how Ontario balances were handled when the site closed. Contact Coolbet's support in writing, ask about any remaining balance and how to withdraw it, and keep copies of every message.
No. Only operators registered with the AGCO and holding an operating agreement with iGaming Ontario may offer online casino games in the province. Coolbet has not been on that list since early 2023, and coolbet.com is not on it either.
We could not verify any. coolbet.com's terms and promotions could not be read in October 2026, so no Coolbet free spins offer for Canadian players can be confirmed. Check the licence and the restricted-country list of any site before you deposit.
