Magic Red no longer operates for Canadian players. We keep this page so the facts and their sources stay findable. It is not scored, ranked or recommended anywhere on this site.

All casinos we cover · Where you can play

Magic Red is no longer an Ontario-regulated casino. iGaming Ontario's directory of regulated sites listed "Magic Red" as a casino, linked to magicred.ca, in a copy archived on 17 May 2025. The entry is missing from the copy archived on 8 December 2025 and from the live directory we checked on 23 October 2026.

So anyone searching for Magic Red casino slots in Ontario should know the brand is outside the province's regulated market. This page sets out the dates, what the magicred.ca domain showed after the exit, and what an Ontario player can do instead. It is a status page: Magic Red is not scored, ranked or suggested anywhere on this site.

The exit therefore happened between mid-May and early December 2025. No regulator page we read gives the exact date or the reason, and the 2025 directory showed no operator name, so we do not know which company held the Ontario registration.

What magicred.ca showed after the exit

The domain did not go dark straight away. Copies archived in July 2025 and May 2026 show a site whose terms read: "Magic Red is a brand owned by PALSAR LIMITED, a company incorporated under the laws of Gibraltar. The games on this website are powered and operated by Aspire Global International LTD". They name Aspire Global 7 Limited in Malta, company number C42296, and a Malta Gaming Authority licence, MGA/CRP/148/2007, issued on 17 August 2009.

That is a different set-up from an Ontario-registered site. An MGA licence is issued in Malta; it is not an AGCO registration and gives no access to Ontario's player protections. The archived pages do not say which countries or provinces that version served, and we found no list of restricted territories, so we cannot tell you whether it was meant for Canadians outside Ontario.

By late October 2026 even that version was out of reach: magicred.ca returned an "Invalid URL" error from its network provider.

If you had a Magic Red account in Ontario

None of the sources we read sets out what happened to Ontario balances or how to withdraw them after the exit. We will not describe a process the operator has not published.

What we can say is how Ontario's system works for a regulated site. While Magic Red was listed, it was covered by the province's rules. The sources name no contact route for former Ontario players. Keep any account records you have; the AGCO is the regulator for Ontario's market.

Province-run self-exclusion covers only that province's regulated sites. If you are trying to stay away from gambling, an exit like this is a good moment to set limits elsewhere too; our responsible gambling page explains the options.

Playing slots legally in Ontario now

We do not name a successor for a brand that has left. Ontario has a public list of every regulated site: each one is registered with the AGCO and holds an operating agreement with iGaming Ontario, and the directory links straight to it. A site that is not on that list is not regulated in Ontario, whatever it says about itself. You must be 19 to play in Ontario.

Outside Ontario the rules differ. Alberta's market, where sites hold AGLC registration and an agreement with the Alberta iGaming Corporation (AiGC), opened on 13 July 2026, and other provinces run their own sites. The age is 18 in Alberta, Manitoba and Quebec. Our legal online casinos page sorts the regulated choices by province, and our casino list shows every brand we cover.
