What TRUEWAYS does to the reels

TRUEWAYS is BGaming's name for a reel set in which every reel shows a different number of symbols on each spin, anywhere from two to eight. The number of ways to win is the product of those heights, so it changes from spin to spin. With all six reels at their full eight symbols the count reaches 8 x 8 x 8 x 8 x 8 x 8, which is the 262,144 in the game's description.

Most spins land well below that figure. A spin where several reels are short has far fewer ways, and the wins of that spin are drawn from that smaller set.

The symbols with a special role are few:

• Wild - appears only on reels 2 to 5, and substitutes for everything except the scatter.
• Scatter - pays anywhere from three, and four or more start free spins.
• Coin - carries a value from x1 to x100 the bet, and six or more start the Coin Respin.
• Lightning - appears only in the Coin Respin, covered below.

We have no sourced pay values for the regular symbols, so the table further down covers the special symbols only. The game's paytable screen is the place to read them.

Bets

BGaming's demo runs in its own play currency, called FUN, from 0.10 to 50.00 per spin. Its game page gives the top prize as EUR 250,000 as well as 5,000x; 250,000 divided by 5,000 is 50, the demo's top stake. Real-money limits in Canadian dollars are set by each casino.

Free spins with wilds that add up

Four, five or six scatters award 12, 15 or 20 free spins. Landing three or more scatters during the round adds more spins.

The change that matters in free spins is the wild. Every wild that lands carries a multiplier of x2, x3 or x5. When several wilds appear on the same spin, their multipliers add up, and the total applies to the wins they help form on that spin. Two wilds at x3 and x5 give x8, not x15.

On a spin with tall reels and several wilds, the number of combinations they can join is large, and each win they help form takes the shared total.

The rules describe the wild total per spin. A round's value therefore depends on how many spins land tall reels and multiple wilds at the same time, rather than on a slow build-up.

How often do free spins come?

BGaming's game page lists a free spins rate of 229. Read as an average, that is one natural trigger in about every 229 spins. It is an average over a very long run; in a real session the gap can be much shorter or much longer, and on a Very high volatility game long gaps are common.

That figure is worth keeping in mind when you size a stake: a budget that covers only a few dozen spins will often run out before a single free spins round arrives.

Coin Respin, lightning and three jackpots

The second bonus is separate from free spins and starts when six or more coins land on one spin. It awards three respins.

• Coin values range from x1 to x100 the bet.
• Respins start at three. The game's rules on your casino describe how the round continues from there.
• Lightning appears only in this round. It splits a position into two smaller empty ones, which makes room for more coins on a reel.

Lightning is what links the Coin Respin to the TRUEWAYS reels. On a reel showing few symbols, there are only a few positions for coins. Splitting them raises that reel's capacity, towards the eight per reel that make up the full 48.

Mini, Major and Mega

Three jackpots can be won in the Coin Respin: Mini, Major and Mega. The rules tie the Mega to one outcome, filling all 48 positions on the grid, which is six reels of eight. BGaming's materials we used do not state the values of the three jackpots in a currency or as a multiple, so we do not quote them here; the in-game rules on your casino show them.

Chance x2 and the bonus buy

Two options let you change how the game reaches its features.

Chance x2 raises the bet slightly in exchange for more chances to trigger free spins or the Coin Respin. We have no sourced figure for the exact increase or the change in trigger rate, so check the bet panel in the game for the real cost.

Buy Bonus lets you buy either feature directly: free spins or the Coin Respin. The price is shown on the in-game button rather than published as a fixed figure, and we do not repeat values we could not confirm. The buy cannot be used while Chance x2 is switched on.

The same rule applies to both options as to any slot. Paying more changes the route to a feature, not the long-run return of 96.70%, and on a Very high volatility game a bought feature can return far less than its cost.
