Verdict
BGaming's Plinko earns its place through numbers you can check: a 99% headline RTP, a provably fair system and full control over rows and risk. It is thin on features and its 1,000x ceiling is modest. BGaming publishes no volatility label, so volatility is not scored; the free browser demo earns the mobile mark. Check the studio name in the lobby, and watch the bonus weighting, which is often 10% or less.
Best for: Players who want short rounds, a very high published RTP and control over how risky each drop is.
Skip if: You want free spins, bonus rounds or a top win far beyond 1,000x the stake.

What we like
- 99% headline RTP, with a 98.91% to 99.16% range in the game's own maths
- Rows (8 to 16) and risk level (Low, Normal, High) are your choice
- Provably fair: rounds can be checked with server and client seeds
- Free demo from BGaming loads without an account
Watch out for
- Top pocket pays 1,000x the stake, low next to many reel slots
- No bonus round or free spins of any kind
- Many casinos weight Plinko at 10% or 0% toward bonus wagering
- Several studios sell a game called Plinko with different maths
Plinko is BGaming's peg-board instant game, released in January 2019. There are no reels and no paylines: you set a bet, choose how many rows of pegs to use and how risky the pockets should be, then a ball drops through the pyramid. The pocket at the bottom decides the multiplier.
This page covers the BGaming version only, because that studio publishes the full set of numbers: a 99% headline RTP, a 1,000x top pocket and a provably fair system. Below you will find how a round plays, what the risk settings do, the free demo, the plinko casino canada picture and the questions to ask before you download anything.

Casinos
Where to play Plinko
How we know: a casino is listed when its published provider list includes BGaming; "seen" means the title was in its own top-games row on that date.
Plinko Canada: where the game is listed
Plinko is a casino game, not a stand-alone product, so you play it inside a casino account. Of the casinos we list, 47 name BGaming among their game providers. A provider name on a lobby page does not prove that every BGaming title is there, so we also record the casinos where Plinko itself was visible in the lobby:
- LuckyWins Casino - listed in its game catalogue when checked on 23 October 2026.
- MoonWin Casino - shown on its homepage on 23 October 2026.
- Spinmama Casino - shown on an archived copy of its homepage from 6 February 2026; that sighting is older, so check the lobby before you sign up.
Where you live decides which of these is legal for you. In Ontario, real-money play is permitted only on sites registered with the AGCO that operate under an agreement with iGaming Ontario. In Alberta, the regulated market requires AGLC registration and an agreement with AiGC, live since 13 July 2026. In the other provinces the legal option is the provincially run site. Offshore casinos are not licensed by any province, whatever other licence they show. The minimum age is 19, or 18 in Alberta, Manitoba and Quebec.
Whichever site you use, confirm in the game's info screen that you are opening BGaming's Plinko. Our legal online casinos page explains the provincial picture in more detail.
Plinko apps and downloads: what to check
People look for a plinko real money app, a plinko casino download or even a plinko casino app download, and this is where players get caught out. BGaming supplies Plinko to online casinos. To play it for money you open it inside a casino account, either in a mobile browser or in that casino's own app if the casino has one. An app that promises Plinko payouts without being a licensed casino is a different thing altogether.
Before you install anything, run through four checks:
- Who runs it? A real casino app names its operating company and its licence. No name, no install.
- Which regulator? In Ontario the operator must be registered with the AGCO. In Alberta it needs AGLC registration and an agreement with AiGC. A licence from outside Canada does not make an app provincially licensed.
- Which Plinko? The game info should name the studio. Several studios sell games called Plinko with different maths.
- Can you withdraw? The terms should list payment methods and withdrawal rules. Games that pay in points or coins only are social games, not casinos.
A plinko app canada search will also surface social or prize apps that never pay cash. They are not covered here. If you want a casino app that carries the game, our casino apps page lists casinos that publish an iOS or Android app, and you can then confirm Plinko in that app's lobby. Features
How Plinko plays
Base game and bonus features as the provider's rules describe them.
- Risk levels Low, Normal or High - changes pocket values
- Lines change 8 to 16 lines of pegs
- Bet mode Manual or Auto (set number of auto bets)
- Results board Board records game results
- Provably fair Rounds verifiable with server and client seeds
How a Plinko round plays out
Every round is a single drop. You place a stake, release the ball and watch it bounce off the pegs until it settles in one of the pockets along the bottom edge. Each pocket carries a multiplier, and that multiplier is applied to the stake. There is no free spins round, no wild and no feature to unlock, so what you see in the first drop is the whole game.
Two settings shape the board before you play:
- Lines - the pyramid can have anywhere from 8 to 16 rows of pegs. More rows means more bounces and a wider row of pockets at the base.
- Risk - Low, Normal or High. BGaming's rules say the risk level changes the pocket values, so the same ball path pays differently depending on what you picked.
A third control decides how the drops are released. In Manual mode you press for every ball. In Auto mode you set a number of drops and the game runs them one after another. A results board records what happened, so you can scroll back through recent rounds instead of relying on memory.
Because the game is this plain, Plinko suits short sessions and players who want to control the shape of the risk themselves. It does not suit anyone looking for story, animation-heavy bonus rounds or the long build-up of a modern video slot. If that is what you want, the slot pages linked further down are a better match. Our guide to how slots work explains why instant games and reel slots feel so different even when both rely on a random outcome.
Provably fair: checking a drop yourself
Plinko is built on a provably fair system. BGaming's rules describe each round as verifiable with a server seed and a client seed. In plain terms, the two seeds let you check after a round that its result was not changed once your bet was placed.
It is a useful habit on any site: open the fairness panel after a few rounds and see what it shows. The check takes a minute and tells you more than any review can about the round you just played. If a casino's version of Plinko offers no way to view the seeds, ask support whether it is the BGaming build at all, because several studios publish games under the same name.
Provably fair does not mean favourable. It proves that a round was not altered; it says nothing about whether the odds suit you. The 99% RTP and the pocket tables still decide the long-run outcome, and the house still keeps an edge. Treat the verification as a check on honesty, not as a sign that a winning pattern exists. No row count, risk level or auto setting changes the long-run return beyond the 98.91% to 99.16% range the game itself lists.
Maths
RTP and volatility in dollars
Over a very long run, Plinko is set to pay back about C$99.00 of every C$100 wagered; the house keeps about C$1.00. At C$1 a spin, 500 spins means C$500 wagered and an expected cost of about C$5.00 - real sessions land far above or below that.
The same game also exists at 98.91% - 99.16%. A lower version costs more per C$100 wagered, and the casino - not you - picks which one runs.
Risk level, rows and the 99% RTP
BGaming lists Plinko with a 99% return to player. The in-game maths gives a narrower picture: depending on the strategy, meaning the mix of rows and risk you choose, the figure runs from 98.91% to 99.16%. Plinko appears on our high RTP slots list for that reason, even though it is not a reel game.
RTP is a long-run average over a huge number of rounds. It does not tell you what will happen in a session of fifty drops, and the house still keeps its edge over time. What the risk setting changes is the spread of results:
| Setting | What the rules say | What it means for a session |
|---|---|---|
| Low risk | Pocket values are set for the low-risk table | Results cluster closer together |
| Normal risk | Middle table of pocket values | A balance between the two |
| High risk | Pocket values are set for the high-risk table | Wider gaps between poor and strong drops |
| 8 to 16 rows | Changes the number of pegs and pockets | Changes how the pocket values are laid out |
BGaming does not publish a volatility label for Plinko, so we do not invent one. The honest summary is that the player sets the volatility through these two controls. The top pocket is worth 1,000x the stake, which is the maximum win the studio states. That ceiling is modest next to many reel slots, but it is reached through a choice you make rather than a feature you have to trigger. Read more in our RTP versions guide and the volatility guide.

Other Plinko games and similar picks
BGaming has built a small family around the original. Its own list of related titles includes Plinko 2, Plinko 2 Halloween and Football Plinko. Other studios publish games with the same name: Spribe has a Plinko, Hacksaw Gaming has one, and further variants such as Plinko+ and Plinko Clusters come from other studios again.
The difference matters because the numbers are not shared. Spribe lists its Plinko with a 97% RTP on its own site, two points below BGaming's headline figure. A lobby tile that simply says Plinko could be any of these, so check the studio name in the game info before you treat the figures on this page as yours.
If you like Plinko's quick rounds and want something in the same spirit, these instant games are reviewed here as well:

Plinko and casino bonus terms
If you plan to play Plinko with bonus money, read the game weighting first. Many casinos count Plinko at a fraction of its stake toward wagering, and a few block it from bonus play altogether. These are the terms we found. Some were read on the live sites in October 2026, others on archived copies going back to October 2025, so open the current rules before you rely on them:
| Casino | How Plinko counts toward wagering |
|---|---|
| Gransino, Neon54, Golisimo | 10% |
| Spinit, Robocat, Bankonbet | 10% |
| VegasHero, WildRobin, Vicibet | 10% |
| Casinozer | 5% |
| Lucky Days | 0% (listed with crash, arcade and scratch games) |
| TrustDice | Excluded from its free-spin promotion |
At 10%, only a tenth of each Plinko stake counts toward the play-through, so clearing a bonus on Plinko alone takes ten times as much betting as on a slot weighted at 100%. At 0% it does not count at all. These terms refer to a game named Plinko; they do not always say which studio's version. Our wagering calculator shows what a weighting does to the total you would need to bet.
Plinko questions
Yes. BGaming runs a free demo of Plinko that loads in a browser with play credits called FUN and a 1,000 FUN starting balance. It uses the same board, rows and risk levels as the real game. The demo plinko version shows no Canadian dollars and pays nothing, which makes it a safe way to learn how the pocket values shift between settings.
Plinko for real money is played inside a licensed casino account, in a browser or in that casino's app. BGaming supplies it to casinos rather than selling a separate app. Before downloading anything, check the operator's name, its regulator, whether the game info names BGaming, and whether the terms describe cash withdrawals. In Ontario, only AGCO-registered sites are legal.
BGaming states a maximum win of 1,000x the stake, paid by the top pocket at the base of the pyramid. Which pockets carry the highest values depends on the risk level and the number of rows you choose. No setting changes the stated 1,000x ceiling.
Real-money casino games in Ontario are legal only on sites registered with the AGCO that operate under an iGaming Ontario agreement. Whether a particular Ontario site carries BGaming's Plinko depends on its own lobby, so search for the game there. Offshore sites are not licensed by Ontario or any other province.
A casino app is run by a licensed operator, takes real deposits and pays withdrawals under its terms. A social or prize app uses coins or points and never pays cash, even if it looks similar. Check the developer name, the licence and the payment terms in the store listing before you install either.
