Verdict
A tidy Mega Moolah game with one main idea: mermaid wilds on the middle reels expand, lock and respin up to three times on 10 both-ways lines. The pearl adds a shot at four progressives. The 95.58% RTP is modest, there is no free spins round or bonus buy, symbol pays and a fixed max win are unpublished, and the demo did not load in our European check.
Best for: Players who want a simple medium-volatility base game with a Mega Moolah jackpot chance on every spin

What we like
- Expanding wilds lock in place for up to three respins
- All 10 lines pay both ways, so a middle wild reel helps from either side
- Every wheel spin lands on one of four progressive jackpots
- Medium volatility from the studio, with a 95.58% RTP stated
Watch out for
- No free spins round and no bonus buy
- Higher bets raise the jackpot trigger chance, so small stakes reach the wheel less often
- Symbol values, bet range and jackpot seeds are not published outside the game
- The Games Global demo returned a server error when tested from Europe
The Atlantean Treasures Mega Moolah slot is a compact 5-reel, 3-row game that Neon Valley Studios built for Microgaming; today it is listed by Games Global. It went live across the network on 25 February 2020. There are only 10 lines, but each one pays left to right and right to left, and the middle three reels carry a mermaid wild that stretches over the whole reel and then holds it for a respin.
The real draw is the pearl. It can land on reels 2, 3 and 4, and each one is a chance to spin the Mega Moolah wheel, which always stops on one of four progressive jackpots. Below: how the base game works, what the provider has and has not published, and where Canadians can look for it.

From the Microgaming network to Games Global
Neon Valley Studios developed the game exclusively for Microgaming, and the archived Microgaming news item from 2020 calls it Mega Moolah striking again "this time under water". Today the title sits in the Games Global catalogue as module 15042, and the studio still lists it on its own website with the same core figures: 95.58% RTP, medium volatility, 5x3 reels and ten lines.
You will see the name written two ways. The studio and the 2020 launch news use a colon (Atlantean Treasures: Mega Moolah), while the Games Global products list drops it. Both refer to the same game.
The jackpot history is part of the appeal. According to the same archived Microgaming news, the first Mega jackpot on this title dropped on 8 May 2020 and was worth EUR 7,784,425.63. That is a record of one past win, not a prediction: the Mega pot is a progressive, so its size at any moment depends on how much has been staked across the network since the last time it was won, and the live counter changes by the second.
What the provider leaves out
Some figures are served by the game server and could not be read when the paytable was checked from Europe in October 2026: the value of each symbol, the bet range and the starting seed of each jackpot. We list those as unpublished rather than guess them.
Casinos
Where to play Atlantean Treasures: Mega Moolah
How we know: a casino is listed when its published provider list includes Games Global; "seen" means the title was in its own top-games row on that date.
Finding Atlantean Treasures in a Canadian casino lobby
Games Global titles are spread widely, but no casino carries every one of them, and Mega Moolah games in particular are not offered everywhere. Zodiac Casino had Atlantean Treasures: Mega Moolah in the top-games row of its offshore, Ontario and Alberta homepages on 23 October 2026. Archived copies of the Canadian homepages of Gaming Club Casino (22 September 2026) and Lucky Nugget Casino (22 February 2026) showed it too. Zodiac's games page, which its Casino Rewards sister brands such as Yukon Gold Casino and Golden Tiger Casino share, notes that the Mega Moolah jackpots are not available in all regions. Jackpot City Casino and Ruby Fortune Casino name Games Global as a provider. None of that proves this exact title is in the lobby on the day you log in, so search for it by name before you deposit.
Which kind of site you are on matters
- Ontario: the legal options are the province's own OLG site, which lists Games Global among its providers and runs progressive jackpots, and sites registered with the AGCO that have an operating agreement with iGaming Ontario.
- Alberta: since 13 July 2026, private sites need AGLC registration and an agreement with AiGC.
- Other provinces: the regulated choice is the provincial lottery site. Offshore sites are not licensed by any province.
You must be 19 or older, or 18 in Alberta, Manitoba and Quebec. Our legal online casinos page explains each route.
Features
How Atlantean Treasures: Mega Moolah plays
Base game and bonus features as the provider's rules describe them.
- Mega Moolah progressive wheel progressive trigger symbols (pearls) on reels 2, 3 and 4 give a chance to trigger the jackpot wheel, which always awards 1 of 4 progressives: Mega, Major, Minor or Mini. A higher bet means a higher chance to trigger.
- Expanding wilds wilds land on reels 2, 3 and 4 and expand to fill the whole reel before line wins are paid.
- Wild respins 1 or more wilds award a respin with the expanded wilds locked; new wilds award another respin, up to 3 successive respins.
- Both-ways lines all 10 lines are played and pay left to right and right to left; total bet is 10x bet per line.
| Symbol | Pays |
|---|---|
| Wild (mermaid) | reels 2-4; substitutes for all symbols except progressive trigger symbols; expands to fill the reel and awards a respin |
| Progressive trigger symbol (pearl) | reels 2-4; may appear over any symbol except Wild; gives a chance to spin the progressive wheel |
| 2 high symbols, 5 low symbols | pay for 3, 4 and 5 of a kind; values are served by the game server and could not be read from ES |
Mermaid wilds and the respin chain
The base game revolves around one symbol. The mermaid wild only appears on reels 2, 3 and 4. When one lands it grows to cover its whole reel before any line wins are counted, which turns a single symbol into three wild positions in the middle of the grid.
Any spin with at least one wild triggers a respin. The expanded wilds stay locked in place while the other reels spin again. If a new wild lands during that respin, it expands too and earns another respin, up to three in a row. The best case the rules describe is all three middle reels covered by wilds at once, with the outer reels left to complete the lines.
Why the both-ways lines matter
All 10 lines are always active, and each pays from left to right and from right to left. A middle reel full of wilds can therefore help combinations that start on reel 1 and combinations that start on reel 5. Your total bet is 10 times the bet per line.
The wild substitutes for every symbol except the pearl. There are two high-paying symbols and five low ones, each paying for three, four or five of a kind. Their exact values come from the game server and are not reproduced here.
How the pearl opens the Mega Moolah wheel
The pearl is the progressive trigger symbol. It can land on reels 2, 3 and 4 and may appear on top of any symbol apart from the wild. Each pearl gives a chance to spin the jackpot wheel; it does not trigger the wheel every time.
Once the wheel spins, it always awards one of four progressives:
- Mega - the top tier
- Major
- Minor
- Mini
The paytable states that a higher bet means a higher chance to trigger the wheel. That is the trade-off of every Mega Moolah game: a player on the smallest stake is still eligible, but less likely to reach the wheel than a player staking more per spin. The provider does not publish the trigger odds at any bet level.
No free spins and no buy
The paytable has no free spins round and no bonus buy section, and the studio page mentions neither. The whole game is the base spin, the wild respins and the pearl. If you want a free spins feature in the same jackpot family, Absolootly Mad Mega Moolah has one.
One spin, step by step
Putting the rules together, this is how the pieces of a round fit, which makes the screen easier to read.
- The reels stop. A pearl that lands on reels 2 to 4 gives a chance at the jackpot wheel. If the wheel is triggered, it spins and lands on Mega, Major, Minor or Mini.
- Wilds expand. Each mermaid on the middle reels grows to fill its reel before line wins are paid.
- Lines are paid both ways. All 10 lines are checked from the left and from the right, using the expanded wilds as substitutes.
- A respin follows. If at least one wild landed, the wild reels lock and the rest spin again. A fresh wild extends the chain, to a maximum of three respins.
Because the pearl may sit on top of a symbol, a single spin can carry both a line win and a jackpot chance. The rules do not say whether pearls can also land during respins, so we do not assume they can. The one thing you control is the stake per line, which is multiplied by 10 for the total bet.
Maths
RTP and volatility in dollars
Over a very long run, Atlantean Treasures: Mega Moolah is set to pay back about C$95.58 of every C$100 wagered; the house keeps about C$4.42. At C$1 a spin, 500 spins means C$500 wagered and an expected cost of about C$22.10 - real sessions land far above or below that.
Medium volatility: a mix of small wins and occasional bigger features.
What 95.58% means when part of the pot is a jackpot
Neon Valley Studios gives the return as 95.58% with medium volatility, and lists no alternative versions. Those two figures describe the whole game over a very long run, but they hide how unevenly the money comes back. In a progressive slot, part of the return is locked inside jackpots that very few players will ever hit.
In practice, the regular line wins and respins will make up nearly all of a normal session. Medium volatility suggests a mix of small hits and occasional bigger wild chains, without the long dry runs of the most extreme games. The Mega pot is closer to a lottery ticket attached to each spin.
Setting a budget around the wheel
- Pick a session budget before you start and treat any wheel spin as a bonus, not a target.
- Raising your bet to chase the jackpot trigger also raises how fast you spend; the rules do not say by how much the chance improves.
- Check the info screen at your casino: the RTP shown there is the one that applies to you.
Our guides to RTP versions and max win odds go further into both points, and the responsible gambling page lists where to get help.

Other games on the same jackpot network
Atlantean Treasures is one of several titles that carry the Mega Moolah wheel, and the differences lie in the base game around the wheel. The original Mega Moolah gave the series its name. Absolootly Mad Mega Moolah swaps fixed lines for 243 ways with rolling reels and a multiplier trail. Immortal Romance Mega Moolah and Thunderstruck II Mega Moolah attach the wheel to two other games from the Games Global catalogue, and Mega Moolah Goddess is a lesser-documented entry in the series.
When you compare them, look at three things:
- The RTP shown in each game's info screen - jackpot titles vary, and Absolootly Mad's published total is 92.02%.
- What the base game offers between wheel spins - here, wild respins on 10 both-ways lines and nothing else.
- Whether a free spins round exists - Atlantean Treasures has none.
The full list sits on our jackpot slots page, and every Games Global title we cover is on the Games Global provider page.
Who will enjoy it, and the demo
This is a game for players who like a simple screen and a jackpot in the background. You only need to follow one mechanic in the base game, the wild that expands and holds, and the pearl adds the chance of a large prize on any spin. Players who want layered bonus rounds, collect symbols or a feature they can buy will find little here.
Games Global offers a free play-money version, and the button above launches it. When the demo was loaded from Spain on 28 October 2026, the preloader and the demo login worked, but the game server returned an error before the reels appeared. That is the same result recorded for every Games Global title tested from Europe for our site, and the demo has not yet been checked from a Canadian connection. If it does not start for you, the casino lobby version is the place to look at the paytable.
Whichever way you play, the RTP and volatility above come from the studio, and the jackpot figures are history rather than a forecast. Read how we rate slots to see how the score was built.
Atlantean Treasures: Mega Moolah questions
Yes. Pearl symbols on reels 2, 3 and 4 give a chance to spin the Mega Moolah wheel, which always awards one of four progressives: Mega, Major, Minor or Mini. A higher bet raises the chance of triggering it. The first Mega win on this title, on 8 May 2020, was EUR 7,784,425.63 according to archived Microgaming news.
Neon Valley Studios lists 95.58% with medium volatility and no other versions. RTP is a long-run average across all players, and a share of it sits in the jackpots, so ordinary sessions return less than the headline figure most of the time. Check the info screen at your casino for the figure that applies there.
No. The paytable describes no free spins round and no bonus buy. The features are expanding mermaid wilds on reels 2 to 4, up to three respins with those wilds locked, lines that pay both ways and the progressive jackpot wheel.
Neon Valley Studios developed it exclusively for Microgaming, and it launched network-wide on 25 February 2020. Today it is listed in the Games Global catalogue. The studio page and the launch news write the name with a colon; the Games Global list writes it without.
Only at the province's own OLG site, which lists Games Global as a provider, or at a site registered with the AGCO that has an iGaming Ontario agreement. Zodiac Casino's Ontario homepage showed the title on 23 October 2026. Whether this exact title is in a given lobby changes over time, so search for it before you deposit. The minimum age in Ontario is 19.
