Verdict
Four free spins features that unlock over repeated visits, plus Wildstorm and the progressive wheel, give this jackpot game plenty to do. The price is the return. The base RTP is 86.71%, with 5.30% more going to the jackpots, and no volatility, bet range or maximum win is published. Play it for the features and the jackpot chance, not for value.
Best for: Players who want a deep free spins ladder and a shot at a progressive jackpot in the same game.
Skip if: RTP matters to you: 86.71% from regular play is low, even with the 5.30% jackpot share added.

Thunderstruck II Mega Moolah is the progressive jackpot version of Thunderstruck II, published by Games Global. It keeps the 5-reel, 3-row layout with 243 ways to win, the Wildstorm feature and the Great Hall of Spins, where four free spins bonuses unlock one after another. On top, a random wheel bonus can award one of the four Mega Moolah progressive jackpots.
The game's help file splits the RTP into 86.71% from regular play and a 5.30% jackpot contribution, 92.01% combined. Volatility, stake limits and a top win are all missing from it, and no provider page we checked gives a release date. This review explains the Thunderstruck II Mega Moolah slot feature by feature, what that RTP split costs in dollars, and how to find the game. Figures were checked on 29 October 2026.

A progressive version of Thunderstruck II
Two games carry the Thunderstruck II name, and they are easy to confuse. Thunderstruck II is the 2010 original with no progressive jackpot. Thunderstruck II Mega Moolah is a separate game, with its own module in Games Global's system and its own help file, that adds the Mega Moolah wheel.
The help file describes a game built on familiar parts:
- 5 reels and 3 rows, paying on 243 ways rather than fixed lines;
- a wild that doubles the wins it helps to complete;
- Wildstorm, a random feature that can turn whole reels wild;
- the Great Hall of Spins, a free spins menu with four bonuses that unlock in stages;
- a random Mega Moolah wheel bonus with four progressive jackpots.
No studio is named in the help file or on Games Global's site, so we list the provider as Games Global. We also found no launch date: the publisher's news archive has no release post, and the help page itself was generated in October 2024, which tells you when the document was produced, not when the game came out.
The jackpot is the reason to pick this version over the original. The cost of that choice shows up in the RTP, covered further down.
Casinos
Where to play Thunderstruck II Mega Moolah
How we know: a casino is listed when its published provider list includes Games Global; "seen" means the title was in its own top-games row on that date.
Demo, mobile and where to play
Games Global's launcher provides a demo link for the game. On 28 October 2026, tried from outside Canada, the launch got as far as the loading screen and a demo login, then failed with a server-side error. Whether it works from a Canadian connection is untested. No running game also meant no phone test, so mobile is scored at zero.
Casinos whose provider list names Games Global are the place to look, and the Games Global page collects them. That list shows the studio, not this title, so type the full name into the lobby search before you deposit. The title itself was in the top-games row of the international homepages of Zodiac Casino and Grand Mondial Casino on 23 October 2026, and of Ruby Fortune Casino's Canadian page in an archived copy dated 24 March 2026. Make sure the tile says Mega Moolah, or you may open the original Thunderstruck II instead.
The licensing test depends on your province. Ontario asks for AGCO registration plus an operating agreement with iGaming Ontario. Alberta, since 13 July 2026, asks for AGLC registration plus an AiGC agreement. The remaining provinces license only the site they run themselves, and offshore operators fall outside all of these.
Only adults can play for money: 18 and over in Alberta, Manitoba and Quebec, 19 and over elsewhere. Self-exclusion through a province reaches that province's regulated sites only; see our responsible gambling page for the tools available.
Features
How Thunderstruck II Mega Moolah plays
Base game and bonus features as the provider's rules describe them.
- Wild doubles the payout of any win it completes as a substitute; does not substitute for the scatter.
- Wildstorm randomly activated; up to 5 reels turn wild; free spins and the jackpot cannot trigger during it.
- Great Hall of Spins 3, 4 or 5 scatters give entry; 4 bonus games unlock in sequence (Valkyrie from the 1st trigger, Loki from the 5th, Odin from the 10th, Thor from the 15th).
- Valkyrie bonus free spins with all wins x5, can be retriggered.
- Loki bonus 15 free spins with Wild Magic on reel 3 (turns up to 15 symbols wild); 2-5 scatters add 1-4 extra spins.
- Odin bonus 20 free spins with the Wild Raven feature: ravens turn 1 or 2 symbols into 2x or 3x wild multipliers, up to 6x.
- Thor bonus free spins with Rolling Reels on every ways win; multiplier 1x, 2x, 3x, 4x, 5x on consecutive rolls.
- Mega Moolah Progressive Jackpot random wheel bonus awarding 1 of 4 progressive jackpots; higher bet = higher chance; not available in free spins.
| Symbol | Pays |
|---|---|
| Wild (Thunderstruck II logo) | Substitutes for all except the scatter and doubles those wins; also pays its own combinations (not doubled) |
| Scatter (Thor's hammer, BONUS) | Pays anywhere, x total bet; 3+ open the Great Hall of Spins |
| Wild Magic symbol | Loki bonus only, reel 3; turns up to 15 symbols wild |
Wilds and the Wildstorm
The Thunderstruck II logo is the wild. It substitutes for every symbol except the scatter, and any win it completes as a substitute is doubled. It also pays for its own combinations, and those wins are not doubled. With 243 ways, a single wild on a middle reel can join several winning ways at once.
Wildstorm is the base-game surprise. It activates at random and can turn up to five full reels wild. Two rules come with it:
- free spins cannot trigger during a Wildstorm spin;
- the Mega Moolah jackpot cannot trigger during it either.
So a Wildstorm is a self-contained event. It pays what the wild reels produce on that spin, and the game's other big features wait until the next one.
The scatter is Thor's hammer, marked BONUS. It pays anywhere on the reels as a multiple of the total bet, and three or more open the Great Hall of Spins. The help file does not publish the scatter or symbol pay values, so we cannot list them here.
The Great Hall of Spins, level by level
Three, four or five scatters take you into the Great Hall of Spins. The hall holds four bonuses, and each one unlocks only after a set number of visits. The first is open from the start; the others need you to come back again and again.
| Bonus | Unlocks on | What it does |
|---|---|---|
| Valkyrie | 1st trigger | Free spins with every win multiplied by 5; can be retriggered |
| Loki | 5th trigger | 15 free spins; Wild Magic on reel 3 turns up to 15 symbols wild; 2 to 5 scatters add 1 to 4 spins |
| Odin | 10th trigger | 20 free spins; Wild Ravens turn 1 or 2 symbols into 2x or 3x wild multipliers, up to 6x together |
| Thor | 15th trigger | Free spins with Rolling Reels on every win; the multiplier steps 1x, 2x, 3x, 4x, 5x on consecutive rolls |
The game's own text gives the spin counts for Loki and Odin. It does not clearly give them for Valkyrie and Thor, so we leave those out rather than guess.
Each bonus plays differently. Valkyrie is the simplest, a flat 5x on every win. Loki spreads wilds from the middle reel. Odin's ravens turn symbols into multiplier wilds worth up to 6x. Thor chains wins, raising the multiplier each time new symbols roll in after a win.
The practical point is the unlock ladder. Thor needs fifteen trips into the hall, and every trip needs three or more scatters. That is a lot of scatter triggers, and the help file we sourced does not explain how the count is kept between sessions, so check the counter in the game itself. Plan to enjoy the early bonuses rather than to chase the later ones.
The Mega Moolah wheel
The progressive jackpot comes from a separate wheel bonus that can trigger at random. Every wheel spin ends on one of four progressive prizes. Neither the four prize names nor their seed values or odds appear in the help file, so this page gives no amounts.
Three rules from the help file shape how the jackpot works:
- It is random. No symbol combination triggers it; the wheel starts at random in the base game.
- Bet size matters. A higher total bet raises the jackpot chance.
- It never happens in free spins. It is also blocked during a Wildstorm spin.
That second rule is the one to think about. A bigger stake buys a better shot at the wheel, yet each spin then costs more, and the help file gives no higher everyday return than 86.71% for bigger stakes. Raising the stake to improve the jackpot chance means accepting a higher expected loss per spin in exchange.
A Mega Moolah jackpot is rare by design. Decide your total budget first, pick a stake that lets it last, and treat the wheel as a bonus, not a plan. Our jackpot slots page compares this game with the other progressive titles we review.
Maths
RTP and volatility in dollars
Over a very long run, Thunderstruck II Mega Moolah is set to pay back about C$86.71 of every C$100 wagered; the house keeps about C$13.29. At C$1 a spin, 500 spins means C$500 wagered and an expected cost of about C$66.45 - real sessions land far above or below that.
What 86.71% plus 5.30% means in dollars
The help file states the RTP in two parts: 86.71% for the game itself, and an additional jackpot contribution of 5.30%. Together that is 92.01%. We show both, because they reach players in very different ways.
| Part | Of every C$100 wagered | Where it goes |
|---|---|---|
| Regular play | about C$86.71 | Line wins, Wildstorm and the Great Hall bonuses, shared out across everyone's spins |
| Jackpot contribution | about C$5.30 | Feeds the four progressive prizes, which only a handful of players ever collect |
| House edge | about C$7.99 | Kept by the house |
For almost every player, the 86.71% line is the one that describes a session. The 5.30% only comes back if the wheel lands a jackpot for you. That makes Thunderstruck II Mega Moolah a costly game to play for entertainment alone.
No volatility rating is published, so we cannot tell you how uneven the regular play is, and the volatility score above stays at zero. The maximum win is open-ended because of the progressive jackpots; no cap is stated. How providers set and vary these percentages is covered in the RTP versions guide.
Two features that pull sessions longer
This game combines two things that can stretch a session past its plan. The Great Hall ladder rewards repeat visits, with Thor waiting behind fifteen triggers. The jackpot rule rewards bigger stakes. Each one on its own is a design choice; together they can make it tempting to play longer and bet more than you meant to.
A few habits keep that in check:
- Set a time limit as well as a money limit. The unlock ladder is a reason to keep spinning that has nothing to do with your budget.
- Fix your stake at the start and leave it, whatever happens on the reels.
- Count a Valkyrie or Loki bonus as a good result, not as a step you must climb past.
- Stop when the budget is gone. A missing bonus is not owed to you on the next spin.
Use the deposit and time limits your casino offers before the first spin, not after a bad run.

The Mega Moolah family and the Thunderstruck series
Thunderstruck II Mega Moolah sits where two families meet. On the Mega Moolah side, the same progressive wheel is attached to other games, each with its own base game and RTP split:
- Mega Moolah - the game the network is named after.
- Absolootly Mad Mega Moolah - another network title.
- Mega Moolah Lucky Bells - a 25-line network game where bells open the wheel.
On the Thunderstruck side, related titles include Thunderstruck, Thunderstruck Wild Lightning, Thunderstruck Wild Lightning Mega Moolah and Thunderstruck Stormchaser alongside the two Thunderstruck II games. Each is a separate title with its own rules.
The simplest way to choose: if you do not want part of every bet going to a jackpot pool, the original Thunderstruck II has no progressive jackpot; compare its published figures on its own page. If the progressive chance is the point, this version is the one, and the info screen should show both RTP parts.
Thunderstruck II Mega Moolah questions
The help file lists 86.71% plus an additional 5.30% jackpot contribution, 92.01% in total. The 86.71% covers regular wins and the free spins bonuses; the 5.30% is set aside for the four progressive jackpots, so it comes back only to the few players who land one.
No. Thunderstruck II is the 2010 original with no progressive jackpot. Thunderstruck II Mega Moolah is a separate game with its own help file, adding the Mega Moolah wheel and a different RTP. Check the full title in the lobby before you play.
Enter the Great Hall 15 times. Valkyrie is open from the first trigger, Loki from the fifth and Odin from the tenth. Each entry needs three, four or five scatters. Thor plays free spins with Rolling Reels and a multiplier that climbs to 5x.
Through a random wheel bonus that awards one of four progressive jackpots. No symbol combination triggers it, a higher total bet raises the chance, and it cannot trigger during free spins or a Wildstorm spin. The help file publishes no odds or amounts.
The game itself is not the issue; the casino is. Ontario's legal options are the operators on the iGaming Ontario list, all registered with the AGCO, and only those whose lobby has this exact title. We have not confirmed such a site. Ontario's minimum age is 19.
A demo link exists in the publisher's launcher, yet on 28 October 2026 it failed before the reels appeared when opened from outside Canada. A Canadian connection is untested. Use the rules on this page to learn the features first.
