Wolf Gold Ultimate Slot Review - Demo, Jackpots & Casinos

Four RTP figures for one Wolf Gold Ultimate Pragmatic Play release

Wolf Gold Ultimate comes with several RTP numbers. The game's rules and its data list three, one for each way of playing:

The Wolf Gold Ultimate Pragmatic Play game page then gives a fourth figure, 96.50%, without saying which mode it refers to. We show 96.57% as the default because it is what the current build states, and we list the provider page figure alongside it. The gap is small, but if the RTP matters to you, open the information screen in the game at your casino and read the figure there.

The volatility label in the rules is Low. The base game pays on 25 lines from a short paytable:

• The Wolf Wild and the Buffalo top the table at 20x the bet for five.
• The Eagle pays 16x, the Horse 12x and the Cougar 8x for five.
• A, K, Q and J pay 2x for five.

The Wolf Wild can land on every reel and substitutes for all symbols except the moons, so it cannot complete a Money Respin trigger.

Wolf Gold Ultimate at Canadian casinos

The game comes from Pragmatic Play's catalogue, so it can only appear at casinos that carry that provider. A provider list is the first filter, the lobby search is the second. Type the full name: the original Wolf Gold and Wolf Gold Scratchcard share most of the title.

Then check that the casino is regulated where you live:

• Ontario: registered with the AGCO, with an operating agreement with iGaming Ontario. Players must be 19+.
• Alberta: registered with the AGLC under an AiGC agreement; this market has been live since 13 July 2026. Players must be 18+.
• Other provinces: the provincially run site. Minimum age 19, except Manitoba and Quebec at 18.

Sites based offshore hold no provincial licence, even when they accept Canadian players. Our legal online casinos page sets out the options, and the Pragmatic Play page shows every casino we cover with that provider.

Two settings vary between builds and casinos: whether the Ante Bet and the Buy Feature are offered at all, and the stake limits. The demo runs from C$0.25 to C$250 a spin, or C$400 with the Ante Bet on, but each casino sets its own real-money range.

Moons, the Money Respin and the extra grids

Moons are the money symbols. Each one carries a value of 0.4x, 1x, 2x, 3x, 5x, 8x, 10x or 15x the base bet, or one of four jackpots. Six or more moons on the screen start the Money Respin.

The respin follows a familiar pattern:

1. You get 3 respins on a 5x3 grid.
2. Every new moon that lands resets the respins to 3.
3. When the respins run out, all moon values are added together and paid.

The Ultimate part is that the grid can grow. Here the provider page and the demo's rules disagree, and we show both:

The provider page describes a "second, third, and fourth" grid revealed by landing two, 11 or 25 moons. The rules inside the demo build use the higher thresholds. We follow the game rules on this page, and we suggest you read the rules screen of the version your casino runs before relying on either.

Ante Bet or Buy Feature: what each costs

Wolf Gold Ultimate gives you two optional ways to change how often the Money Respin comes. You cannot use both at once: the Buy Feature is switched off while the Ante Bet is on.

Ante Bet

The Ante Bet raises the bet multiplier from 25x to 40x, so every spin costs more. In return, more moons land on the reels and the Money Respin triggers more often. The RTP drops slightly, from 96.57% to 96.54%. With the ante on, the 5,000x cap still applies to the base bet, which works out at 3,125x of the higher ante stake.

Buy Feature

For 80x the base bet you go straight to the Money Respin with 6, 7 or 8 moons on the trigger spin. Its RTP is 96.56%.

A bought respin starts with no more than 8 moons, far short of the 32 that unlock the special grid in the rules, so paying 80x is not a shortcut to the specials. Both options raise what you spend in exchange for more of the feature, and neither changes the house edge in your favour. Our bonus buy slots page covers feature buys in general.

From Wolf Gold to Ultimate

Pragmatic Play lists two related titles: the original Wolf Gold and Wolf Gold Scratchcard. The Ultimate version keeps the wildlife theme, the wolf as the Wild and the moon as the money symbol, and builds the respin out with extra grids and the 5x1 special row. It also offers an Ante Bet and an 80x Buy Feature; the original lists no bonus buy.

If you like the original and want more going on once the moons land, this is the version built for that. If you prefer the simplest form of the respin, the original remains the reference. Each has its own page with figures from its own rules, so compare them side by side before you choose.

Low volatility does not mean low risk. Every spin still carries the house edge, and the Ante Bet and Buy Feature both raise what you spend. Decide on a budget first; the tools and helplines for each province are on our responsible gambling page.

The 5x1 grid and its three specials

The fourth area to open is a single 5x1 row, and it is where moons can change value. Three kinds of special symbol can land on it, each working on its own reel:

• Collect gathers the moon values on its reel across all the grids and adds them together.
• Plus Cash adds +3x, +5x, +8x, +10x or +15x to the moons on its reel.
• Multiplier applies x2 to x5 to its reel.

These specials only matter once the 5x1 grid is unlocked, which by the game rules takes 32 moons across the first three grids. That is a long way from the six needed to start the respin. The rules do not publish how often each stage is reached, and we do not guess.

Every special works on its own reel. The rules describe Collect as gathering the moon values on its reel across all the grids, so a single symbol on the special row can draw on several grids at once. That makes the reel position of a special as important as which special lands.

Jackpots from Mini to Grand

Some moons carry a jackpot label instead of a cash value. There are four, all fixed multiples of the base bet in the demo rules:

These are not progressive. They scale with your base bet and are paid as part of the Money Respin total.

Here again the sources differ. Pragmatic Play's game page says the Mini, Minor, Major and Grand jackpots "can award 5,000x max wins". The game rules set the Grand at 1,000x the base bet and apply a separate cap of 5,000x to the whole round. In other words, the 5,000x figure is the round's ceiling, not the value of a single jackpot. We follow the rules.

To reach that ceiling, a respin would need the Grand plus a great deal more from moon values, specials and other jackpots. The cap ends the round once it is reached. For the odds behind figures like this, see our max win odds guide.

The Wolf Gold Ultimate demo

Pragmatic Play's free Wolf Gold Ultimate demo opens in the browser with a C$ play-money balance. When it was checked on 28 October 2026, it showed the intro screen, then the game, and test spins completed normally. No account or deposit is needed, and nothing won in it is real money.

Which features you see depends on the build. Opened from Spain with no market chosen, the game came up in its UK form, where the Buy Feature is hidden. With the international setting, both the Buy Feature and the Ante Bet were available. The build served to Canadian casinos is not something we have verified.

Worth doing in the Wolf Gold Ultimate demo:

• open the rules and read the grid unlock thresholds for yourself, since the provider page states different ones;
• buy a few Money Respins with play money and note how often the second grid opens;
• switch the Ante Bet on and off to see the change in stake per spin.
