Verdict
Area Link Phoenix Firestorm has an inventive feature set on paper, with five phoenix upgrades, a second grid and a 50,000x Grand Jackpot. But Games Global has published no RTP, volatility, layout or bets, and its demo did not load when it was checked, so those parts score zero. Read the RTP and rules in the game at your casino before staking anything.
Best for: Hold-and-respin fans curious about a feature with several upgrade types and a very high jackpot ceiling.
Skip if: You want to know the RTP and volatility before you play - the provider has not published them.

Area Link Phoenix Firestorm is a Games Global slot from its AreaVegas Games studio, launched widely in May 2025 after a period as an exclusive. It is built around the Area Link feature, a respin round where fireballs lock in place, and adds the Phoenix Firestorm, which turns a fireball into one of five coloured phoenixes, each with its own upgrade. Its stated payout ceiling is a Grand Jackpot of 50,000 times the stake.
That is close to everything the provider has published. There is no public RTP, volatility, reel layout or bet range. This page sets out what the launch announcement does say, explains each phoenix, and shows what to check in the game itself before you play it for money.

What Games Global has published, and what it has not
The main source for this game is a Games Global press release dated 27 May 2025. It announced the wider launch of the title after an exclusive release and described its features. Here is what it confirms:
- The studio is AreaVegas Games, part of Games Global.
- The game uses the Area Link feature, triggered by fireballs.
- The Phoenix Firestorm upgrades fireballs into five types of phoenix.
- The Grand Jackpot of 50,000x the stake, for filling every reel position, is the game's "payout ceiling".
And here is what it does not give:
- The RTP, or any alternative RTP versions.
- A volatility rating.
- The number of reels, rows or paylines.
- Minimum and maximum bets.
- A paytable for the regular symbols.
We do not fill these gaps with figures from other websites. Should Games Global publish them, the missing rows go in, dated.
Casinos
Where to play Area Link Phoenix Firestorm
How we know: a casino is listed when its published provider list includes Games Global; "seen" means the title was in its own top-games row on that date.
Where Canadians can find it
One casino we cover had Area Link Phoenix Firestorm in its own top-games row when we checked: LeoVegas Casino, on 23 October 2026, on its offshore site.
The list above adds casinos that name Games Global among their providers. Among the casinos we cover, that includes Jackpot City Casino, Spin Casino, Ruby Fortune Casino, FanDuel Casino's Alberta site (FanDuel Casino) and Ontario's provincial OLG. A provider listing does not prove this title is there, so search the lobby by its full name.
Which site you can use depends on your province. In Ontario, regulated sites are registered with the AGCO and hold an iGaming Ontario agreement. In Alberta, regulated sites have been live since 13 July 2026, registered with the AGLC under an AiGC agreement. Other provinces run their own site; offshore casinos are not licensed by any province. Real-money play is 19+, or 18+ in Alberta, Manitoba and Quebec. See our legal online casinos page.
Features
How Area Link Phoenix Firestorm plays
Base game and bonus features as the provider's rules describe them.
- Area Link feature triggered by fireballs; collects orbs into coloured eggs, fireballs lock and 3 respins are awarded
- Prizes cash and jackpot prizes; Grand Jackpot 50,000x for filling every reel position
- Phoenix Firestorm turns the yellow fireball into a phoenix fireball with random upgrades
- Orange phoenix adds 2x, 3x or 4x multipliers to all yellow fireballs
- Red phoenix collects all prizes, then becomes a yellow fireball
- Green phoenix random prize boosts each spin; blue phoenix raises yellow fireball values
- Magenta phoenix duplicates the feature onto a second Area Link grid
The Area Link feature: fireballs, eggs and respins
The heart of the game is the Area Link feature. Fireballs trigger it. Once it starts, the fireballs lock in place and you receive three respins.
During the feature, orbs are collected into coloured eggs. The release describes the prizes on offer as cash prizes and jackpot prizes, with the Grand Jackpot reserved for filling every reel position.
The structure follows the hold-and-respin pattern: fireballs lock, the round runs on three respins, and filling the whole grid is the top outcome. What Area Link Phoenix Firestorm adds is the layer of phoenix upgrades on top, covered in the next section.
The press release does not state how many fireballs are needed to trigger the feature, whether new symbols reset the respin count, or what the smaller jackpots are worth. Those details will be in the game's own rules screen. Read them there before you play for money, rather than relying on a description from a third-party site.
If you like this style of game, our hold and win slots list collects others where the rules are fully published, so you can compare like with like.
Five phoenixes, five different upgrades
The Phoenix Firestorm turns the yellow fireball into a phoenix fireball with a random upgrade. Each colour of phoenix does something different:
| Phoenix | What it does |
|---|---|
| Orange | Adds 2x, 3x or 4x multipliers to all yellow fireballs |
| Red | Collects all prizes, then becomes a yellow fireball |
| Green | Adds random prize boosts on each spin |
| Blue | Raises the values of yellow fireballs |
| Magenta | Duplicates the feature onto a second Area Link grid |
Three of the five act on yellow fireballs: orange multiplies them, blue raises their values, and red turns back into one after collecting the prizes on screen. Green works differently, adding random prize boosts on each spin rather than changing one fireball.
The magenta phoenix is the most distinctive. It copies the feature onto a second grid, which means two Area Link rounds running at once.
How often each phoenix appears, and whether more than one can arrive in a round, is not in the release. The game's rules screen is the place to look.
The 50,000x Grand Jackpot in context
The Grand Jackpot pays 50,000 times the stake for filling every reel position in the Area Link feature. Games Global's release calls it the game's payout ceiling, so it is also the maximum win.
That is a high figure. For comparison, Gates of Olympus and Big Bass Splash both cap at 5,000x in their own rules. Games Global has not published the odds of reaching the Grand Jackpot, or a volatility rating that would hint at them.
Three things to keep in mind:
- The ceiling is a stake multiple. What it is worth in dollars depends on your bet, and the bet range is not published. Check it in the game.
- Filling every position is the top outcome of the feature. Treat it as the ceiling of the range, not as an expected result.
- The smaller prizes matter more day to day. Their values are in the game's rules, not in the release.
Our max-win odds guide explains why a headline cap tells you so little about a typical session, and our jackpot slots page lists other games with fixed and progressive jackpots.

Why the score is low
The number shown is a plain average of six marks, one each for how the game plays, its features, its return, its risk profile, its top prize and mobile play. We mark only what a provider source confirms. Where a source is silent, the mark is zero, never an estimate.
For this game, that means:
- Features and win potential score well, because the release describes a detailed feature set and a 50,000x ceiling.
- Gameplay scores in the middle: the feature is described, but the base game, layout and bets are not.
- RTP and volatility score zero, because neither is published.
- Mobile scores zero, because we could not confirm a working browser demo and the provider does not state mobile play in the sources we checked.
The low total is therefore a statement about missing information, not a verdict that the game plays badly. If Games Global publishes the figures, or the demo loads when we check again, the score will be revised.
The full method is on our how we rate slots page.
Not to be confused with Area Link Phoenix
Games Global also has a game called Area Link Phoenix, without "Firestorm". It is a separate title with its own entry on the provider's site, and the two should not be mixed up.
This matters in three places:
- In a casino lobby. The names differ by one word. Check the full name before you open the game.
- In reviews elsewhere. Figures quoted for one may be for the other.
- In casino offers. Free spins on one title do not apply to the other.
The studio has used the Area Link name on more games, including Area Link Dragon. They share the respin concept, but rules, prizes and caps can differ from game to game. Read the rules screen of the exact title you are playing.
Everything on this page, including the five phoenix types and the 50,000x Grand Jackpot, refers to Area Link Phoenix Firestorm only. None of it should be read as a description of the other Area Link games.

The demo: available, but not confirmed to load
A demo link for this title does exist: Games Global's launch service resolves one, and the play button above is wired to it. When it was checked on 22 October 2026 from outside Canada, the page shell and the preloader came up and the play-money login succeeded, yet the next request to the game server failed with a generic error, so no reels ever appeared. A test from inside Canada is still outstanding.
Should the reels load for you, you are in the provider's own free version, with no sign-up and no real money involved. In that check the failure came from the provider's game server, so a later attempt may work.
Without a working demo, learning the game means reading its rules screen at a casino before staking anything. Look for:
- the theoretical RTP;
- the bet range in C$;
- the trigger for the Area Link feature;
- the values of the smaller jackpot prizes.
Our RTP versions guide shows where to find the return, and our free slots page lists demos we have confirmed to load.
Area Link Phoenix Firestorm questions
Games Global has not published it. The launch press release of 27 May 2025 gives the features and the 50,000x Grand Jackpot but no RTP. To learn it, open the rules panel inside the game at the casino where you play; that panel reflects the build in front of you.
The Grand Jackpot of 50,000 times the stake, won by filling every reel position. Games Global's release calls it the game's payout ceiling. What that is worth in dollars depends on your bet, and the bet range is not published.
It duplicates the Area Link feature onto a second grid, so two Area Link rounds run at the same time. It is one of five phoenix types in the Phoenix Firestorm; the others add multipliers, collect prizes, boost prizes and raise fireball values.
No. They are two separate Games Global titles with separate entries on the provider's site. Check the full name on the tile in a casino lobby, and make sure any free spins offer names the exact game you want.
A demo address exists and the button on this page uses it. When it was checked on 22 October 2026 from outside Canada, the reels never loaded because the provider's game server returned an error. It may behave better for you, and a retry later can help.
