From Fortunium to Fortunium Gold

The original Fortunium came out in 2018 with no jackpot attached. In September 2020 Stormcraft Studios released this version, which adds the Mega Moolah progressive network on top of a reworked game. Some lists write the name with a colon, Fortunium Gold: Mega Moolah, but the studio page and the game itself spell it without one.

Stormcraft lists the game in its own portfolio, and Games Global, the company behind Mega Moolah, distributes it; the loading screen still says "Powered by Microgaming". For a Canadian player that means two practical things:

• In a casino's provider filter it may sit under Games Global or Microgaming rather than Stormcraft, although two casinos we cover do name Stormcraft.
• It is one of the Mega Moolah network titles, so the jackpots it pays are the network's, not prizes set by this game alone.

The symbols lean on adventure imagery: two character symbols (named Victoria and Maximillian in the game files), a treasure chest, an airship and a plasma gun, then four card suits as the low payers. The two characters are stacked five high and every other regular symbol is double stacked, so whole-reel hits are possible even before the Mystery Symbols do anything.

If you came for the original, see whether your casino still lists it. Lucky Nugget's Canadian homepage showed Fortunium, not this Gold version, in an archived copy from February 2026.

Why the 5x5 grid matters

Fortunium Gold Mega Moolah has five rows on each of its five reels, which gives 25 positions on screen and room for 40 paylines. The extra height changes how the game's stacking works in practice.

• A five-high stack fills a reel. The two character symbols are stacked five high, exactly the height of the grid, so one stack can cover a whole reel from top to bottom.
• Double stacks cover part of a reel. Every other high and low symbol comes in pairs, so one symbol can take two neighbouring rows.
• Mystery stacks add to this. When tall stacks of Mystery Symbols land on several reels and reveal the same symbol, the 40 lines have many chances to connect at once.

How the stacked Mystery Symbols work

Mystery Symbols land in tall stacks. After the reels stop, every Mystery Symbol on screen reveals the same symbol: a Wild, or any of the high or low symbols. They never reveal a Scatter. When a stack of Mystery Symbols covers several reels and turns into the same high symbol, the 40 lines can light up together.

The reveal is also the only way to reach the jackpot. Among the possible results is a Jackpot Wild, which substitutes like a normal Wild and opens the Mega Moolah wheel.

The Win Booster option

Stormcraft added an optional Win Booster. With it on, boosted Mystery Symbols can only reveal Wilds or high symbols, never the low card suits. The cost is a higher total bet. The rules point out one detail worth knowing: boosting raises what you stake but does not raise symbol pays, and scatter wins are calculated on the non-boosted bet. In other words, you pay more for better reveals, not for bigger multipliers.

The studio does not publish how much the booster adds to the bet or how it changes the return. If you use it, check the bet shown in the game before you spin.

Line pays in brief

Pays are multiples of the line bet. Five Wilds pay 200x, five of either character 80x, the treasure chest 60x and the airship 50x. Five club symbols, the lowest payer, give 12x.

Free spins with Mystery Reels

Three or more Scatters, landing anywhere, start 10 free spins. What changes with more Scatters is not the number of spins but how many reels turn into solid columns of Mystery Symbols.

The Mystery Reels are taken from reels 2, 3 and 4, the middle of the grid, and are filled with Mystery Symbols. Since every Mystery Symbol reveals the same result, three Mystery Reels turning into a high symbol or a Wild means three full reels of it, which can produce line wins across all 40 lines.

Each Scatter that lands during free spins adds one more spin. The Jackpot Wild can still appear through the Mystery Symbols in this round, so the wheel can trigger here as well as in the base game. Two Scatters also pay 1x the bet on their own, even without starting the feature.

The Mega Moolah wheel and its four jackpots

When the Mystery Symbols reveal a Jackpot Wild, the game moves to the wheel, and you spin it for one of four progressive jackpots: Mini, Minor, Major or Mega. Every trigger wins one of the four. The rules confirm two details:

• The Jackpot Wild can appear in both the base game and free spins.
• Higher bets increase the chance of triggering the wheel.

What the studio does not publish is just as important. There are no published starting amounts (seeds) for the four jackpots in the game's own text, only placeholders in the paytable. The odds of landing each tier are not stated either. Progressive amounts grow as the network is played, so check the live figures inside the game rather than any number quoted elsewhere.

The bet effect deserves a moment. If a higher stake raises your chance of reaching the wheel, a small-stakes player has a lower chance per spin than a high-stakes one. That is a design choice of the network, not a hidden trick, but it means a jackpot hope is a poor reason to raise your bet. What a 92.80% RTP means in dollars

The studio's page lists the RTP as 92.80%. Over a very long run of play, that means about C$92.80 comes back for every C$100 wagered and about C$7.20 stays with the casino. Games Global offers other RTP builds to operators but publishes none of them, so there is no public figure for a higher or lower version.

The studio does not say how much of the 92.80% comes from the progressive jackpots and how much from the regular game. Because the figure is not split, you cannot tell how much of it depends on a jackpot win that a player may never see.

Fixed top win and bet range

Stormcraft gives a bet range of 0.10 to 22.50 and a "win up to" figure of 12,000.00, all with no currency attached. Read together, the figures suggest that 12,000.00 is the largest fixed win at the top bet, with the progressive jackpots on top of that; the studio does not say so outright. The demo, and who this slot suits

Games Global offers a demo of the fortunium gold mega moolah slot through its own launcher. When it was checked from Europe on 28 October 2026, the game files downloaded but the request to start play was refused with a general server error, so the reels never showed. Other Games Global demos failed the same way. It has not been checked from Canada, where the demo may behave differently.
