Verdict

Sweet Bonanza 2500 keeps the original's grid and paytable, pushes free-spins bombs to 2,500x and adds the biggest bet menu in the series. Every mode returns between 96.49% and 96.52%, the label is Medium and the cap is 25,000x, the same as the 1000. It runs in the browser demo. Pick it for the modes, not for a higher ceiling.

Best for: Players who want the classic candy grid with several ways to change the risk of each spin.

Skip if: You want a simple game; the 1000 has the same cap with fewer modes to manage.

What we like

  • Bombs from 2x to 2,500x in free spins
  • Every mode returns between 96.49% and 96.52%
  • 25,000x cap on a Medium-volatility label
  • Named on regulated Ontario and Alberta sites in October 2026

Watch out for

  • Same 25,000x cap as Sweet Bonanza 1000
  • No multipliers in normal base-game spins
  • Paid modes up to 1,000x the bet make swings much larger

Sweet Bonanza 2500 is the newest version of Pragmatic Play's candy slot, launched at the end of April 2026. The grid, the symbols and the paytable are the ones from the 2019 original. The changes sit in the free spins, where multiplier bombs now reach 2,500x, and in the bet menu, which offers two ante bets, two Super Spins and three different buys.

The default RTP is 96.52%, every other mode stays between 96.49% and 96.51%, the volatility label is Medium and the cap is 25,000x the stake. This page sets the game against the earlier versions, explains each paid mode in Canadian dollars and lists the two regulated Canadian sites where it was named in October 2026.

Sweet Bonanza 2500 against the earlier versions

Sweet Bonanza, Sweet Bonanza 1000 and Sweet Bonanza 2500 share the same core: six reels, five rows, wins for eight or more matching symbols anywhere, tumbles after each win and a lollipop scatter. Here is what moves between them:

FigureSweet Bonanza (2019)Sweet Bonanza 1000Sweet Bonanza 2500 (2026)

Volatility labelLowMediumMedium
Default RTP96.48%96.53%96.52%

Two things stand out. First, the 2500 does not raise the cap over the 1000; both stop at 25,000x. What the bigger bombs change is how a round can get there, not where it ends. Second, the 2500 is the one with the most paid modes by some distance, which is the real difference in day-to-day play.

The paytable is identical to the original's. The red heart candy pays 10x the bet for eight or nine, 25x for ten or eleven and 50x for twelve or more. The banana, at the bottom, pays 0.25x for eight. The lollipop scatter pays 3x for four, 5x for five and 100x for six, anywhere on the grid, and four or more start free spins.

Bets in the demo run from C$0.20 to a base maximum of C$240.

Casinos

Where to play Sweet Bonanza 2500

How we know: a casino is listed when its published provider list includes Pragmatic Play; "seen" means the title was in its own top-games row on that date.

All casinos with Pragmatic Play games

Named on two regulated Canadian sites

Sweet Bonanza 2500 is a Pragmatic Play title, and 84 of the casinos we cover publish a provider list that includes the studio. Because the game is only six months old, we also looked for its name on each casino's own pages. Two regulated sites showed it on 23 October 2026.

  • BetNova named it on the online casino page of betnova.ca, its Ontario site. That site is registered with the AGCO, and BetNova also runs a separate Alberta site; both belong to Goldrush Gaming Group.
  • Stardust Casino listed it in the bonus offers of its Alberta site. Stardust is a Boyd Gaming brand, and its Ontario site is a separate registration.

Both sightings belong to the site they came from. That BetNova's Ontario lobby carried the game on that date says nothing about its Alberta lobby, and the reverse holds for Stardust.

For everyone else, the useful check is the lobby itself. Search for "Sweet Bonanza 2500" with the number, because the original, the 1000 and several other variants sit right next to it, and open the info screen to see the RTP the site runs.

Which sites are regulated where

In Ontario that means AGCO registration and an iGaming Ontario operating agreement. In Alberta it means AGLC registration and an AiGC agreement; that market opened on 13 July 2026. Other provinces offer the provincial lottery corporation's site, and offshore casinos are not licensed by any province.

Bombs only in free spins

Normal spins of Sweet Bonanza 2500 have no multipliers. They pay the paytable, tumbles add follow-up wins, and that is the whole of it; only the paid Super Spins put multipliers into the base game. Everything that makes the 2,500x bombs matter happens after four or more lollipops land and award 10 free spins.

During free spins, multiplier bombs can land with values from 2x to 2,500x. Their values are added together and applied to the win of the tumble sequence they land in. Bombs worth 10x and 50x in the same sequence make 60x on that sequence's win. A bomb on a sequence with no win pays nothing.

Landing three or more scatters during the round adds five more spins.

Why the bigger bombs do not mean a bigger cap

Pragmatic did not raise the cap along with the bomb range: the 1000 and the 2500 both stop at 25,000x. The higher top bomb changes the routes a round can take towards the cap, not the cap itself.

That fits the Medium label in the game's rules, the same as for Sweet Bonanza 1000, and one step up from the original's Low. A Medium game still has long stretches where free spins do not arrive or end with small totals; the label describes the shape of results over many spins, not what one session will do.

More slots built on bombs or orbs that add up are in our high-volatility list, and the mechanics are explained in how slots work.

Seven ways to pay more

The bet menu is the busiest part of the game. Beside the normal spin there are two ante bets, two Super Spins and three buys, each priced as a multiple of the base bet. The table gives each one's price at the C$0.20 minimum:

ModePriceAt C$0.20What it does
Ante Bet 12.5xC$0.50Free spins chance close to 8x higher
Ante Bet 212xC$2.40Free spins chance 10x higher; minimum multiplier in the round 20x
Super Spin 120xC$4At least one multiplier on every spin; no free spins
Super Spin 2250xC$50At least one multiplier of 25x or more on every spin; no free spins
Buy free spins100xC$20The normal 10 free spins
Buy super free spins 1500xC$100Every multiplier at least 20x
Buy super free spins 21,000xC$200Multipliers at least 10x, collected into one total for the whole round

The Super Spins are worth understanding before you try them. They are single spins that put multipliers on the grid, not a way into the bonus. At C$240 base, Super Spin 2 costs C$60,000 per spin, which is the top of the demo's stake range.

Super free spins 2 is the only mode that changes how bombs combine. Instead of applying to one tumble sequence, its multipliers build a running total for the whole round, the same running-total idea Gates of Olympus uses in its free spins.

The international demo shows all three buys. When the demo was opened from Europe the server switched to its UK build, which hides the buy; Canadian builds were not checked. More slots with buy menus are on our bonus buy page.

Maths

RTP and volatility in dollars

Over a very long run, Sweet Bonanza 2500 is set to pay back about C$96.52 of every C$100 wagered; the house keeps about C$3.48. At C$1 a spin, 500 spins means C$500 wagered and an expected cost of about C$17.40 - real sessions land far above or below that.

The same game also exists at 96.49%, 96.49%, 96.50%, 96.50%, 96.50%, 96.51%, 96.51%. A lower version costs more per C$100 wagered, and the casino - not you - picks which one runs.

Medium volatility: a mix of small wins and occasional bigger features. The cap is 25,000x: C$25,000 on a C$1 spin.

Eight RTP figures, nearly identical

Pragmatic's in-game rules give a separate return for every mode:

  • 96.52% - normal spins (the default)
  • 96.51% - both super free spins buys
  • 96.50% - Super Spin 1, Super Spin 2 and the 100x free spins buy
  • 96.49% - Ante Bet 1 and Ante Bet 2

From top to bottom the spread is three hundredths of a percentage point. No mode is a meaningfully better deal than another; the choice between them is about how much risk you want on each click, not about the long-run return.

Two points about where the figure comes from. The numbers above are the demo's, read from Pragmatic's international build in Canadian dollars. A casino can still run the game at a different setting, as it can with most slots, so the info screen on the site you use is what tells you the version in force. Our RTP versions guide shows where to find it on a Pragmatic game.

If the default 96.52% is your main reason to play, the game sits in our high-RTP list with other titles at or above that level.

What 25,000x means at real stakes

The stated maximum win is 25,000x the stake. On the demo's base bet range:

  • C$5,000 at the C$0.20 minimum
  • C$6,000,000 at the C$240 base maximum

Pragmatic does not publish how often the cap is reached, and on a game where the biggest results depend on a high bomb landing on a good tumble, it should be treated as a ceiling rather than a goal. Our guide to max win odds explains why a cap says little about a normal session.

The paid modes raise the stakes faster than they raise the potential. Ante Bet 2 multiplies the cost of each spin by twelve, and the 1,000x buy costs a thousand base bets for one round. Neither changes the 25,000x cap or the return, so both make the swings larger without adding to what the game can pay.

A sensible way to use the menu is to decide on a session budget first and then pick the mode that fits it, rather than the other way round. Our volatility guide explains what the labels mean for a budget.

Is the 2500 the right Sweet Bonanza for you?

Pragmatic lists Sweet Bonanza, Sweet Bonanza 1000, Sweet Bonanza Super Scatter, Sweet Bonanza POP and Sweet Rush Bonanza as related games. For most players the choice is between three of them:

  • Sweet Bonanza: the original, Low volatility, smaller bombs, the calmest of the three.
  • Sweet Bonanza 1000: the same 25,000x cap as the 2500 with a simpler menu.
  • Sweet Bonanza 2500: the widest bomb range and the most paid modes.

If you want the cap without the menu, the 1000 offers it with fewer decisions. The 2500 earns its place if you actually want to use the extra modes, especially the second super free spins buy with its running total. Sweet Rush Bonanza is the alternative for anyone who prefers multipliers that stay on the grid.

Demo and real-money rules

The free demo above is Pragmatic Play's own build in Canadian dollars, with every mode and the full rules. It needs no account, and play-money wins cannot be withdrawn. It is the right place to see what Super Spin 2 or the 1,000x buy actually produces before you spend money on them.

For real-money play the minimum age is 19, or 18 in Alberta, Manitoba and Quebec. Provincial self-exclusion covers only that province's regulated sites. Our responsible gambling page explains the limits you can set and where to get help.
