Verdict
Gates of Olympus 1000 keeps the original's grid, tumbles and free spins and raises the orbs to 1,000x and the cap to 15,000x. The RTP stays at 96.50% (96.49% on the buy), so the trade is higher volatility, not a worse return. It runs in the browser demo. Budget for long quiet stretches, and treat the 100x buy with care.
Best for: Players who know the original and want a higher ceiling with the same simple rules.
Skip if: You want steady small wins; the High label means many spins pay little or nothing.

What we like
- 15,000x cap, three times the 2021 original
- Multiplier orbs from 2x to 1,000x, in base game and free spins
- RTP barely moves between modes: 96.50% default, 96.49% buy
- Free demo in Canadian dollars with the full rules
Watch out for
- High volatility: long runs with small or no wins
- Buy costs 100x the bet and does not improve the return
- Buy may be hidden in some regulated builds
Gates of Olympus 1000 is Pragmatic Play's December 2023 rebuild of its 2021 Zeus slot. The 6x5 grid, the scatter pays and the tumbling symbols stay; what changes is the range of the multiplier orbs, which now reach 1,000x, and the cap, which rises to 15,000x the stake. The volatility moves up to High to pay for it.
The default RTP is 96.50%, with a 96.49% figure for the bonus buy. This page explains how the orbs add up in the base game and in free spins, what the ante bet and the buy cost in Canadian dollars, which casinos named the game on their own pages in 2025 and 2026, and how it differs from the other Gates of Olympus titles.

What the 1000 changes from the original
Pragmatic Play has released several versions of Gates of Olympus, and the numbers in the title give a clue to what sets them apart. Placed next to the first game from February 2021, the 1000 version keeps the structure and pushes the extremes:
| Figure | Gates of Olympus (2021) | Gates of Olympus 1000 (2023) |
|---|---|---|
| Multiplier orbs | 2x to 500x | 2x to 1,000x |
| Maximum win | 5,000x | 15,000x |
| Volatility (in-game label) | Medium | High |
| Default RTP | 96.50% | 96.50% |
| Bonus buy | 100x | 100x |
Everything else will feel familiar to anyone who has played the original. Symbols pay anywhere on the grid once eight or more of the same kind land; there are no paylines. Four or more Zeus scatters trigger 15 free spins. The ante bet still costs 1.25x the stake and doubles the natural chance of free spins.
The return stays the same, so the higher volatility is not paid for by a lower RTP. It comes from the way the return is spread: more of it now sits in rare rounds where big orbs land together, and less in the everyday tumbles. In practice that means more spins that pay little or nothing, in exchange for a much higher ceiling.
The crown is the top symbol, paying 10x the bet for eight or nine, 25x for ten or eleven and 50x for twelve or more. The nine symbols below it run down to the blue gem, which pays 0.25x for eight. Six or more scatters on one spin pay 100x on their own.

How we know: a casino is listed when its published provider list includes Pragmatic Play; "seen" means the title was in its own top-games row on that date.
Where to play Gates of Olympus 1000 in Canada
Gates of Olympus 1000 is a Pragmatic Play title, and 84 of the casinos we cover publish a provider list that includes the studio. A provider list is not proof that one particular game is live, so we also recorded which casinos named Gates of Olympus 1000 on their own pages and when.

Read the table as a starting point, not a guarantee. The older sightings come from archived copies, and lobbies change. None of these pages belongs to a site registered in Ontario, but two Ontario pages also named the game: 888 Casino's Ontario promotions page (23 October 2026) and FireVegas's Ontario homepage (28 October 2026). If you live there, the Gates of Olympus 1000 casinos to consider are the Ontario-registered ones whose lobby carries the title, which you can confirm by searching that lobby before you deposit.
Two further checks are worth a minute on any of the Gates of Olympus 1000 online casinos. First, open the game's info screen and read the RTP shown, because the casino sets the version. Second, look at whether the buy button is there at all, which is covered below.

How the orbs add up
Every spin is a tumble sequence. Winning symbols disappear, new ones drop in from above, and the sequence carries on until a drop produces no new win. Multiplier orbs can land on any spin or tumble, in the base game as well as in free spins, with values from 2x to 1,000x.
The rule that matters is when an orb counts. In the base game, the values of all orbs on screen are added together at the end of the tumble sequence and applied to that sequence's total win. Two orbs of 10x and 25x make 35x, not 250x. An orb that lands on a spin with no win at all pays nothing.
Free spins: the running total
Free spins work differently. Four or more scatters award 15 free spins, and during the round the multipliers from every winning spin are added to a total that keeps growing. Each later win is multiplied by that running total. Landing three or more scatters during the round adds five more spins.
That running total is where the 15,000x cap becomes reachable. A round that collects several orbs early carries a large total into its later spins, and each tumble win after that is multiplied by it. A round whose orbs land on losing spins builds nothing.
The high volatility follows from this design. Most free spins rounds end with a modest total; a few end with a very large one. The base game helps a little through its own orbs, but the long-run return leans heavily on those few strong rounds. Plan sessions with that in mind and keep the stake small enough to see a round through.
Ante bet or buy: the cost in Canadian dollars
Gates of Olympus 1000 offers two ways to change the normal spin. Each has its own price and its own published return:
| Option | What it does | Cost at C$0.20 | Cost at C$240 | RTP |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Normal spin | Standard odds | C$0.20 | C$240 | 96.50% |
| Ante bet | Bet multiplier 25x instead of 20x; doubles the natural free spins chance | C$0.25 | C$300 | 96.50% |
| Buy free spins | 100x the bet; four scatters guaranteed on the trigger spin | C$20 | C$24,000 | 96.49% |
The ante bet and the buy cannot be combined: switching the ante on disables the buy button. The three returns are almost identical, so the choice is about how you want to spend the money, not about better odds.
The buy is the expensive option to treat carefully. A single purchase costs 100 normal spins, and because the game is highly volatile, many bought rounds return less than their price. The round you buy is the same 15 free spins anyone else triggers naturally.
Is the buy available in Canada?
The provider's demo shows the buy in its international build, but its UK build hides the buy and some bet modes. Our demo checks were not run from Canada, so whether a particular Canadian casino's version shows the buy is not confirmed. If the button is missing on your site, that is the casino's build, not a fault. More slots with the option are on our bonus buy page.
Maths
RTP and volatility in dollars
Over a very long run, Gates of Olympus 1000 is set to pay back about C$96.50 of every C$100 wagered; the house keeps about C$3.50. At C$1 a spin, 500 spins means C$500 wagered and an expected cost of about C$17.50 - real sessions land far above or below that.
The same game also exists at 96.50%, 96.49%. A lower version costs more per C$100 wagered, and the casino - not you - picks which one runs.
High volatility: long dry spells are normal; most of the return sits in rare big features. The cap is 15,000x: C$15,000 on a C$1 spin.
High volatility and a 15,000x ceiling
Pragmatic's in-game rules label Gates of Olympus 1000 as High volatility, on the three-step scale the studio uses now. Other sites sometimes quote ratings on an older five-step scale; we use the game's own label, which was the same in both jurisdiction builds checked.
The maximum win is 15,000x the stake. Across the bet range that works out as:
- C$3,000 at the C$0.20 minimum
- C$3,600,000 at the C$240 base maximum
Those are ceilings, not targets. The provider does not publish how often the cap is hit, and on a high-volatility game the gap between the average session and the best possible session is very wide. Our guide to max win odds explains why the top figure says little about a normal session.
Two RTPs, nearly the same
The default and ante returns are 96.50% and the buy is 96.49%. The spread is narrow, but the casino still decides which version you get. The game's info screen shows the figure in force on the site you use. Our volatility guide explains what the labels mean, and the high-volatility list has more games in the same bracket.

Choosing a Gates of Olympus version
Pragmatic Play lists five related titles: the original Gates of Olympus, Gates of Olympus Super Scatter, Gates of Olympus 2500, Gates of Olympus Xmas 1000 and Gates of Olympus Dice. Most of them share the Zeus theme, and the names are close enough that it is easy to open the wrong one in a lobby.
The ones we review here, with the figure that most sets each apart:
- Gates of Olympus - the 2021 original, Medium volatility, 5,000x cap.
- Gates of Olympus 1000 - this page, High volatility, 15,000x cap.
- Gates of Olympus Super Scatter - adds Super Scatter symbols and a 50,000x cap.
- Gates of Olympus 2500 - from September 2026, orbs up to 2,500x and a 25,000x cap, with a wheel choosing the type of free spins.
For a player choosing between them, the 1000 sits in the middle. It has one buy option, one ante bet and a single kind of free spins, which keeps it easier to follow than the 2500, while offering three times the original's ceiling.
If you like the orb mechanic but want a different look, the scatter-pays and tumble format is shared by many titles in our Pragmatic Play list.
Free spins offers and real-money rules
A common search is for gates of olympus 1000 free spins no deposit. We have no such offer on record for any casino we cover as of October 2026. Casinos do sometimes tie free spins to a specific slot, and Gates of Olympus 1000 was named in 24Casino's bonus terms when checked, but a named game in the terms is not the same as a no-deposit offer. Read the wagering, the maximum cashout and the expiry before you accept any free spins. Our free spins page and wagering calculator help with the maths.
To play Gates of Olympus 1000 without spending anything, the demo above is the provider's own build in Canadian dollars. It needs no account and has the full rules screen, so you can watch how the running total behaves in free spins.

Gates of Olympus 1000 questions
The default RTP is 96.50%, the same with the ante bet. The bonus buy runs at 96.49%. Casinos choose which version they offer, so check the info screen inside the game on the site you play.
Pragmatic Play states a maximum win of 15,000x the stake. That is C$3,000 at the C$0.20 minimum bet and C$3,600,000 at the C$240 base maximum. The provider does not publish how often the cap is reached.
The grid, symbols, tumbles and free spins rules are the same. The 1000 version has multiplier orbs up to 1,000x instead of 500x, a 15,000x cap instead of 5,000x, and a High volatility label instead of Medium. The default RTP is 96.50% in both.
Yes. The demo on this page is Pragmatic Play's own version with play money in Canadian dollars. No account or deposit is needed, and it shows the full rules. Demo wins cannot be withdrawn.
In October 2026 it was named on pages of UBET, Fresh Casino, 24Casino and FireVegas. Older archived pages of Spin Galaxy, Wyns and Quickwin also showed it. None of those pages is on an Ontario-registered site, but 888 Casino's and FireVegas's Ontario pages also named it in October 2026. Ontario players should check the lobby of the registered site they use.
