Verdict
Spaceman's 50% Auto Cashout is a genuinely useful idea, letting you bank half a bet and ride the rest, and the game was seen on an Alberta-registered site. The numbers hold it back: a 95% RTP is the lowest of the crash games we cover, the ceiling is 5,000x, and bonus terms often exclude it. Choose it for the feature, not the return.
Best for: Crash-game players who want to lock in part of a win early and let the rest ride.
Skip if: Return matters most to you - other crash games we cover publish RTPs from 95.50% to 97% and above.

Spaceman is a crash game from Pragmatic Play, listed on the studio's site since March 2022. All players in a round stake before launch. As Spaceman flies, a multiplier rises; cash out before he crashes and your stake is multiplied by the figure at that moment, wait too long and the bet is lost.
Pragmatic's own page gives an RTP of 95% and a payout range of 1.01x to 5,000x. What sets Spaceman apart from other crash games is the 50% Auto Cashout, which banks half the bet at a preset multiplier and leaves the rest in play. Below: how a round works, what the 95% means, why bonuses and crash games rarely mix, and where Canadians can play the Spaceman casino game.

Spaceman at a glance
The format is the shared crash round: one multiplier, one flight, every player in it at the same time. Pragmatic's published numbers are short:
- RTP: 95%, as shown on pragmaticplay.com. Some other sites quote a higher figure; we use the studio's own.
- Payout range: 1.01x to 5,000x the stake.
- Per-bet limit: 5,000x or €500,000, whichever comes first, according to the game.
- Demo table: €1 to €100 per bet. The demo runs in euros even when Canadian dollars are requested, so real limits at a Canadian casino will be set by that casino.
- Bonus buy: none. There are no free spins or bonus rounds.
- Volatility: not published.
The missing volatility rating matters less here than in a slot, because in a crash game your own cash-out choices set most of the risk. Cashing out at low multipliers gives frequent small wins; holding on for high ones gives rarer, larger wins. Pragmatic publishes one RTP for the game, not one per cash-out target.
The 95% is lower than the figures published for the other crash games we cover, which range from 95.50% to 97%, with JetX's casino-set range reaching higher. Over many rounds, a 5% house edge costs more than a 3% one. It is worth knowing before choosing which crash game to spend time on. See our RTP versions guide for how to check the figure your casino shows.
Casinos
Where to play Spaceman
How we know: a casino is listed when its published provider list includes Pragmatic Play; "seen" means the title was in its own top-games row on that date.
Where to play the Spaceman casino game in Canada
Because Spaceman is a Pragmatic Play title, any casino with a Pragmatic deal can host it. Eighty-four casinos in our listings name Pragmatic as a provider, and a good number of them run regulated sites in Ontario or Alberta.
Our dated sighting of the game itself comes from Mega Casino, whose Alberta site showed Spaceman on 23 October 2026. That site is run by Skill on Net Ltd. under an AGLC registration and is listed by AiGC, which makes it one of the regulated options for players there. The offshore Mega.Bet site is run by a different company and holds no provincial licence.
Other brands with Ontario or Alberta registrations that list Pragmatic Play include BetMGM Casino, FanDuel Casino, Bally Bet Casino and NorthStar Bets Casino. A provider name on a list does not guarantee a particular game, so search for Spaceman by name in the lobby you use.
Which sites are legal depends on where you live:
- Ontario: AGCO-registered casinos that hold an iGaming Ontario operating agreement.
- Alberta: AGLC-registered casinos with an AiGC agreement, legal since 13 July 2026.
- Other provinces: the government-run provincial site.
No offshore site holds a provincial licence, whatever provinces it accepts players from. The minimum age is 19 in most of Canada and 18 in Alberta, Manitoba and Quebec. Our legal online casinos page covers each province.
Features
How Spaceman plays
Base game and bonus features as the provider's rules describe them.
- Cashout Manual cash out applies the current multiplier to the bet
- Auto Cashout Automatic cash out at a preset multiplier
- 50% Auto Cashout Cashes out half the bet at a preset multiplier and lets the rest ride
- Double bet (2x) Bet doubling button
- Statistics, leaderboards and game history Round history bar and live bets list
Playing a round: manual, auto and the 50% option
Every round follows the same rhythm: place your stake before launch, watch the multiplier climb from 1.01x as Spaceman flies, and decide when to get out. If he crashes first, the stake is gone.
There are three ways to cash out:
- Manual cashout. Press the button and the current multiplier is applied to your bet.
- Auto Cashout. Set a multiplier in advance. If the round reaches it, the bet is cashed out for you, with no reaction time involved.
- 50% Auto Cashout. Set a multiplier, and when the round reaches it, half your bet is cashed out at that figure. The other half stays in the round, and you can cash it out by hand later or lose it if the crash comes first.
The third option is the game's signature. It splits each bet into a safer half and a riskier half, which lets you lock in part of a win early while still chasing a higher multiplier. Pragmatic lists no separate RTP for it; what it changes is how your results are spread.
A Double bet (2x) button doubles your stake in one click. Use it with care: doubling after losses is a well-known way to lose money faster, and no crash game's history predicts the next round.
Alongside the flight, the screen shows statistics, leaderboards, a round history bar and a live list of bets. They make the game feel busy and social, but they are a record of the past, not a guide to the future. Each round is independent of the last.
Maths
RTP and volatility in dollars
Over a very long run, Spaceman is set to pay back about C$95.00 of every C$100 wagered; the house keeps about C$5.00. At C$1 a spin, 500 spins means C$500 wagered and an expected cost of about C$25.00 - real sessions land far above or below that.
The 5,000x ceiling and the per-bet limit
The top of the payout range is 5,000x. On top of that, the game caps any single payout at €500,000, whichever limit is reached first. At the demo's €100 maximum stake, the 5,000x ceiling comes to exactly €500,000, so the two limits meet at that point. Casinos may set different stake limits and currencies.
| Stake (demo, EUR) | Payout at 5,000x |
|---|---|
| €1 (minimum) | €5,000 |
| €100 (maximum) | €500,000 |
Compared with the other crash games on this site, 5,000x is a middle figure: the same as Big Bass Crash, lower than JetX's 25,000x and well below High Flyer's published 1,000,000x. Aviator publishes no top multiplier at all. A higher ceiling does not make a game better value, though: the RTP is what decides the long-run return.
The practical lesson for budgeting is simple. Decide in advance what multiplier you will cash out at, use Auto Cashout or the 50% option to stick to it, and set a session limit. Our max win guide explains how ceilings and RTP relate, and the responsible gambling page covers deposit limits and time-outs.
If you are used to slots, note that there is no volatility label to lean on. Your cash-out targets are the volatility setting.

Spaceman and other crash games
Pragmatic makes several crash games, and the format has close rivals from other studios. Here is how the ones we cover compare on the published figures:
| Game | Studio | RTP | Top payout | Distinctive feature |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Spaceman | Pragmatic Play | 95% | 5,000x | 50% Auto Cashout |
| Big Bass Crash | Pragmatic Play | 95.50% | 5,000x | Big Bass theme |
| Aviator | Spribe | 97% | None published | Two bets per round |
| JetX | SmartSoft Gaming | 96.2% to 98.9% | 25,000x (demo limits) | Up to four bets per round |
On the numbers alone, Spaceman has the lowest published RTP of the four, half a point below its Big Bass sibling and two points below Aviator. Its case rests on the 50% Auto Cashout, which none of the others in the table lists. Aviator and JetX answer the same need differently, by letting you place two or four separate bets in one round and cash each out on its own; Spaceman does it inside a single bet. Pragmatic also makes High Flyer, a crash game with a 97% published RTP and a 1,000,000x top payout.
If you would rather not play against a clock, single-player games like Mines and Chicken Road wait for your decision after every step.
Bonuses and the Spaceman crash game
Casino bonuses and crash games are an awkward pair: bonus terms can treat crash titles very differently from slots. Two examples from casinos in our listings:
- WildRobin Casino's rules, archived in November 2025, list Spaceman among the games that count 0% towards wagering, along with Aviator.
- BetMGM Casino's welcome terms for Alberta, checked on 23 October 2026, leave crash games out of the deposit match altogether.
In practice, that means bonus money played on Spaceman may not count towards wagering at all, and where a casino keeps a list of games banned during bonus play, using a listed game with an active bonus can break the terms. Always check two parts of the terms before you play: the list of excluded games and the game contribution table. If Spaceman is in either, play it with your own cash balance only, or not at all while a bonus is active.
There is no bonus buy, free spins round or promo feature in the game itself, so anything promotional attached to Spaceman comes from the casino and lives in its terms. Our casino bonuses page explains how to read those terms, and the wagering calculator shows what a requirement costs in total.
Free Spaceman demo
Pragmatic offers a free demo of Spaceman. Our 22 October 2026 check found it running with a €100,000 play-money balance and the €1 to €100 table limits, in euros even though Canadian dollars were requested. The live rounds start on their own, whether or not you place a bet, so you can watch a few flights before trying a play-money stake.
The demo is the best place to learn the 50% Auto Cashout, because the feature is easier to understand by seeing it than by reading about it. Set a target, place a bet and watch half of it bank while the other half carries on. Try the same with a full Auto Cashout to compare how the two feel over twenty or thirty rounds.
Keep the limits of demo play in mind. Play-money wins are never paid, and how the demo rounds went says nothing about real-money rounds later. The casino version may also use different currencies, stake limits and RTP settings, so read the game's rules at your casino.
The Double bet button is worth testing here too, since it is easy to press by habit; seeing how quickly it empties a play-money balance is a useful warning. For more free demos, see our free slots page.
Spaceman questions
Pragmatic Play's own page lists 95%. Some other sites quote a higher figure, but we use the studio's published number. That means a house edge of 5% over the long run, higher than on the other crash games we cover.
You set a multiplier. When the round reaches it, half of your bet is cashed out automatically at that figure, and the other half stays in the round until you cash it out yourself or Spaceman crashes.
Payouts range from 1.01x to 5,000x the stake, and the game also caps any single payout at €500,000, whichever comes first. Casinos may set their own stake limits and currencies.
Often not usefully. WildRobin Casino's rules, archived in November 2025, count Spaceman at 0% towards wagering, and BetMGM's Alberta offer excludes crash games from its deposit match. Check the excluded games and contribution table first.
Mega Casino's Alberta site, run by Skill on Net Ltd. under an AGLC registration, showed Spaceman on 23 October 2026. Alberta's regulated private sites need AGLC registration and an AiGC agreement, and have been live since 13 July 2026.
