Verdict
Temple Tumble turns a Megaways grid into a block-breaking puzzle: clear every stone to reach six free spins, then pick multipliers, extra spins or both. The 96.25% default RTP and High volatility are published, but a 90% German version exists and Relax states no top win, so that scores zero; the free browser demo earns the mobile mark. Check the rules screen before you play.
Best for: Patient players who enjoy tumble chains and want to choose how their free spins play.
Skip if: You want a published maximum win, a bonus buy or frequent features.

Temple Tumble is Relax Gaming's own Megaways slot, released in January 2019, and it plays like a puzzle as much as a slot. Each spin starts with stone blocks covering part of a 6x6 grid. Winning symbols break the blocks next to them, and clearing every block on the board is what opens the free spins.
Relax describes it as highly volatile, and it uses the Megaways mechanic under licence from Big Time Gaming, for up to 46,656 ways to win. This page explains how the blocks work, the choice of three bonus worlds, the 96.25% RTP and its lower German version, the temple tumble megaways demo, and where the game was seen in Canadian lobbies.

Temple Tumble Megaways slots: a grid under stone
The grid has six reels and six rows. Thanks to the Megaways mechanic, which Relax uses under licence from Big Time Gaming, the number of ways to win can reach 46,656 on a spin. Wins are counted in ways rather than along fixed paylines.
What sets Temple Tumble apart from other Megaways games is the stone. At the start of every spin, between 3 and 24 stone blocks cover positions on the grid.
That gives the game a clear goal within each spin: break as many blocks as you can. A spin with only three blocks starts with most of the grid open; a spin with 24 starts with much more of it covered.
A wild can land on reels 2 to 6 and substitutes for all symbols. There is no bonus buy, so the free spins can only be reached by clearing the board. Relax's default game configuration sets stakes from EUR 0.20 to EUR 100 (the FUN demo goes up to 1,000 credits); real-money limits in Canadian dollars are set by each casino.
Relax has not published a paytable we could cite, so we do not list symbol pays here. Open the paytable in the game to see them. The Megaways slots page lists other games built on the same reel system.
Casinos
Where to play Temple Tumble
How we know: a casino is listed when its published provider list includes Relax Gaming; "seen" means the title was in its own top-games row on that date.
Where to play Temple Tumble Megaways in Canada
Of the casinos we list, 30 name Relax Gaming among their providers. That is fewer than the 84 that name Pragmatic Play, so it is worth knowing where the game itself was seen. When we checked, Temple Tumble was visible in two Canadian lobbies:
- Wildz Casino - its Canadian lobby on 23 October 2026.
- Caxino Casino - its Canadian lobby on 23 October 2026.
Both are offshore sites. Dream Vegas and iBet also listed Temple Tumble Megaways on their international homepages on 23 October 2026. If you play temple tumble megaways elsewhere, search the lobby for the full title and confirm in the game rules that the RTP shows 96.25%. Relax also offers a sequel, Temple Tumble 2 Dream Drop, which has a different name on the tile and different rules.
Your province sets the rules. Ontario's regulated sites are AGCO-registered and operate under agreements with iGaming Ontario. Alberta's, launched on 13 July 2026, carry AGLC registration and an AiGC agreement. Elsewhere, the province's own site is the regulated option. A licence from Malta or anywhere else abroad does not make an offshore site provincially licensed. Expect an age check: 19 is the minimum in most of the country, 18 in Alberta, Manitoba and Quebec.
If you claim a welcome bonus at either casino, check how slots count toward wagering and whether any titles are excluded before you play Temple Tumble with bonus funds. Our legal online casinos page explains how each province handles online play.
Features
How Temple Tumble plays
Base game and bonus features as the provider's rules describe them.
- Tumbling wins winning symbols and touching stone blocks are destroyed, new symbols drop in
- Stone blocks 3 to 24 blocks cover the grid at the start of each spin
- Free Spins clearing every block awards 6 free spins
- Three bonus worlds choose Multipliers, Extra Spins, or Multipliers & Extra Spins
- Special blocks add +1/+2/+3 multiplier or +1/+2/+3 spins; clearing all blocks in free spins adds 3 spins
- Wild on reels 2-6, substitutes for all symbols
Tumbling wins and breaking the blocks
Every win starts a tumble. The winning symbols are destroyed, and so are any stone blocks touching them. New symbols drop in to fill the empty positions, which can create another win, which destroys more blocks, and so on until a tumble produces nothing new.
This is the game's engine. A single win near a cluster of blocks can open several positions at once, and each newly opened position is a fresh chance for the next tumble to connect. The order of events within a spin is the whole story:
- The spin starts with 3 to 24 blocks covering the grid.
- A win destroys its symbols and every block touching them.
- New symbols fall into the gaps, including the ones that were under stone.
- Any new win repeats the cycle.
- If every block is cleared, free spins begin.
Relax's High rating and its "highly volatile" description both warn that results are uneven. Set your budget with that in mind.
There is no way to choose how many blocks you start with, and no paid option to remove them. The blocks are part of each spin's random outcome. If you want to see how often a board clears, the demo described further down is the place to watch, with nothing at stake. Our how slots work guide explains tumbles and ways-to-win in more detail.
Free spins and the three bonus worlds
Clearing every stone block from the grid awards 6 free spins. Before they start, you choose one of three bonus worlds:
| Bonus world | What the special blocks give |
|---|---|
| Multipliers | Special blocks add +1, +2 or +3 to the win multiplier |
| Extra Spins | Special blocks add +1, +2 or +3 free spins |
| Multipliers & Extra Spins | Special blocks can add either |
The blocks keep working in free spins. Breaking a special block applies its bonus, and clearing all the blocks again during the round adds 3 more spins. That makes the free spins a continuation of the base game's puzzle: the more stone you break, the longer the round runs or the higher the multiplier climbs.
Which world to choose is a matter of taste, since Relax publishes no figures comparing them. In plain terms:
- Multipliers - special blocks raise the multiplier, so the round can climb higher.
- Extra Spins - special blocks add spins, so the round can run longer.
- Multipliers & Extra Spins - special blocks can do either.
None of the three is shown to pay more on average. The round starts with only six spins, so in the Multipliers world its length depends on clearing the board again, while in the Extra Spins world special blocks can lengthen it too. Pick the one that suits your patience and your budget.
Maths
RTP and volatility in dollars
Over a very long run, Temple Tumble is set to pay back about C$96.25 of every C$100 wagered; the house keeps about C$3.75. At C$1 a spin, 500 spins means C$500 wagered and an expected cost of about C$18.75 - real sessions land far above or below that.
The same game also exists at 90%. A lower version costs more per C$100 wagered, and the casino - not you - picks which one runs.
High volatility: long dry spells are normal; most of the return sits in rare big features.
RTP, volatility and the missing top win
Relax Gaming gives Temple Tumble a default RTP of 96.25%. Its product page also lists a German version at 90%, which runs under a separate game id, and a separate UK game id. That means the game exists in more than one setting, and the one you meet depends on where the casino is licensed and what it chooses.
The gap between 96.25% and 90% is over six percentage points of theoretical return, a large difference for an identical-looking game. Check before you play:
- Open Temple Tumble at your casino, in demo mode if available.
- Open the game rules or paytable from the menu.
- Read the stated RTP.
- If it is below 96.25%, consider a casino that runs the default.
On volatility the sources agree: Relax lists it as High, and Relax's launch news in January 2019 called it highly volatile. That suits players with patience and a budget set for long dry spells.
The top win is the one figure we could not confirm. Relax publishes no maximum win, and the rules text we saw states none. The demo's configuration file does contain a highest-win value, but no rule text explains it, so we do not quote it as the cap. That is also why the win potential scores zero on this page: a missing fact is not rewarded. Our RTP versions guide and volatility guide explain both ideas in more depth.

The sequel and similar slots
Relax lists one related title: Temple Tumble 2 Dream Drop, a sequel that adds the studio's Dream Drop name. It is a separate game with its own rules, so check the exact title in the lobby before relying on anything on this page. The original's figures, from the block count to the 96.25% RTP, apply to the 2019 game only.
If you like the Megaways format with a feature of its own, these pages cover other games we review:
- Buffalo King Megaways - a High-volatility Megaways title from Pragmatic Play.
- The Dog House Megaways - a Medium-volatility Megaways game, also from Pragmatic Play.
For more from Relax itself, Money Train 3 and Money Train 4 are both High-volatility titles with published caps of 100,000x and 150,000x. The Relax Gaming provider page gathers the studio's other games on this site, and the high volatility page groups games with the same risk profile.
Temple Tumble Megaways demo and free play
The free game on this page is Relax Gaming's own demo. It was checked on 22 October 2026, opens with an intro video and then the full game, and needs no account. Stakes are in FUN credits rather than Canadian dollars, with a range from 0.20 to 1,000 FUN.
Temple Tumble megaways free play is especially useful for this game, because the block mechanic is easier to understand by watching than by reading. A few dozen spins in the temple tumble demo show you:
- how often a board starts with many blocks or only a few;
- how far a tumble chain usually gets before it stops;
- how rarely every block is cleared, which is the only way into free spins;
- how each of the three bonus worlds plays once you reach it.
That last point is the most valuable. Since Relax publishes nothing comparing the worlds, trying each one in the demo is the only way to see which suits you before you play for money.
FUN credits have no cash value, and a demo session predicts nothing about a real one, good or bad. The real-money version uses the casino's own currency and stake range. If you want more free versions to compare, our free slots page lists the demos we have checked.
Temple Tumble questions
Yes. Relax Gaming's own demo was checked on 22 October 2026 and needs no account. It plays in FUN credits, not Canadian dollars, with stakes from 0.20 to 1,000 FUN, and includes the stone blocks, free spins and all three bonus worlds.
By clearing every stone block from the grid. Each spin starts with 3 to 24 blocks, and wins destroy the blocks touching them. Clearing them all awards 6 free spins and a choice of three bonus worlds. Clearing the board again during the round adds 3 more spins.
Relax Gaming lists a default of 96.25%. Its product page also lists a German version at 90%. Open the game rules at your casino to see which version you are playing, and look for another casino if the figure is lower than the default.
Relax Gaming does not publish one, and the rules text we saw states none. A highest-win value appears in the demo's configuration file, but without a rule explaining it we do not treat it as the cap. Check the game rules at your casino.
Wildz Casino and Caxino Casino showed it in their Canadian lobbies on 23 October 2026; both are offshore sites. Ontario players should look only at AGCO-registered sites, which operate under iGaming Ontario agreements, and search each lobby. No province licenses offshore operators.
